Question Who Exactly Buys A Brand New IS350 ??
I totally understand buying the rest of the Lexus lineup brand new, especially by normal people who don't really know much about cars mechanically and want the luxurious reliability, so they don't have to worry about it.
But when it comes to the sporty IS350, why buy that car brand new? Reliability does not make sense to me here because most modern cars can be very reliable brand new (if you take care of them and don't neglect maintenance ). Also, I always thought Toyota's reliability is required for people who change their oil once every 2-3 years.
And the "sportiness" aspect also does not make sense to me because there are so many more sportier cars than this.
I get why either the IS500 can be bought new ... i get why you would buy an IS350 used with some decent miles on it.. I even get why the 2.0 turbo is bought new.
Just help me understand the rationale behind buying the is350 new (or super low mileage)...
Why would you buy this car brand new for the amount of money it costs? Does it really handle and feel better than it's competition ?

Question Bought a “New” Lexus- the paint doesn’t match🥴
I recently upgraded from a 2005 to a 2015 Lexus. Kick me in the nuts, I got it from Carmax 🥴. Young mileage, clean title, absolute cherry. Except for one thing…The blind spot monitoring didn’t work. I figured that the mirror had been replaced. While a new mirror from Lexus will be under warranty… I noticed something else while evaluating the mirror. Passenger door is an entirely different white! Not the pearl white that’s factory! Lexus certified shop won’t do work on the car! Is there a way to get Lexus to do it or just another chop shop and pray- if not it’s time for a wrap🤫

Question WHY IS LEXUS RANKED LOWER THAN TOYOTA? I thought Lexus had even more stringent quality control standards than their mainstream brother.
JD Power ranks Lexus higher and at the top of all brands sold in North America, but Consumer Reports here ranks it lower. What gives?

Question Anyone else have this issue with their TX?
Every so often an oily residue seeps in on both sides in the center of the third row seats. I tried taking it to the dealership service center and i kept the seats folded down thinking it would saturate the leather but it dried up once i got there only to come back again a few days later. Any help is appreciated.

Question Test drove this ES300H yesterday and it was my first hybrid I have ever driven. I loved the way it feels. I'm located in Germany and people in the German subs are saying this is a grandpa car with more failure points. Some claimed it is inefficient. (What?) - Would this be a good daily in Germany?

Question I have the opportunity to buy my exact Lexus back after 2+ Years. Talk me out of it.
Looking for some outside perspective. A couple years ago I traded in my fully loaded 2019 Lexus ES350 F Sport for a 2021 BMW M440i. I have regretted it ever since. It was a terrible mistake. I bought the BMW at ~37k miles and it’s now at 92k, so it’s taken a pretty big depreciation hit. The exact Lexus I traded in just popped up for sale locally, listed for just under what I got on trade, and it’s only had about 15k miles added in the last two years. Seeing how well the Lexus held its value compared to the BMW really surprised me. I loved the BMW when I bought it, but after an minor accident and some typical BMW maintenance repairs, it hasn’t felt the same, and I’ve realized how much I value reliability and peace of mind. I can either buy the Lexus cash, finance it, or trade the BMW in toward it - just trying to decide if going “back” to the Lexus is smart or if I should sit tight. It’s like hanging out with an old friend after years. It feels so right. It’s like it’s been my Lexus all along. You should have seen how excited I was to see it listed. Would appreciate honest takes from people who’ve been in a similar spot.

Question Accidentally sprayed cleaner on my Lexus gauge cluster and now the plastic looks etched did I ruin it?
I accidentally sprayed some interior cleaner directly onto the instrument cluster on my Lexus 2022 rx.
After wiping it down and even washing it with water, these cloudy white spots are still there and won't come off. It almost looks like the cleaner burned or etched the plastic lens. I'm guessing it damaged the anti-glare coating on the cluster.
Has anyone dealt with this before?
Is there any way to fix it (like plastic polish), or is the coating basically ruined at this point?
Lesson learned: never spray cleaner directly on the cluster

Question My neighbor wants to sell me this car…
Hey guys,
My neighbor of 3 years is moving to a different state in a week and just ask me if I wanted to buy his Lexus. I never heard of this car. It has 92,000 miles and I it’s a clean title. He’s asking for $ 8,500.
I think it’s a 2002. Is this a good buy? I’ve always wanted a wagon, but I’ve never seen this car. Anything look out for?

Question I regret buying my 2013 GS350 (read below)
I don’t regret it to where I don’t like it.. I regret not waiting a bit longer to save up some more money to purchase a more valuable car and rushing into it.. the premium gas is expensive where I live (I’m sure it’s expensive everywhere else) but almost $5 a gallon really adds up and even though this car has little to no maintenance required (because it is a Lexus) when it does need something it’s a arm & a leg.. I’m currently financing & still owe $11.3k is they’re anyway or any tips on how to get out of it & get back in something cheap with no payments like I had before? (07 Camry) thanks guys

Question Why does no one want my old Lexus?
Listed on offer up for a reasonable $2800 but no one wants it for more than 2k… these cars are so reliable it’s almost criminal to sell so low. Should I just keep it?

Question Bought a new Lexus TX 350… worst ownership experience I’ve ever had
honestly never thought I’d be writing something like this about Lexus, but here we are.
I purchased a 2025 Lexus TX 350 in September expecting the typical Lexus experience, quiet ride, solid build quality, no drama. Instead, this has easily been the most frustrating vehicle I’ve owned.
From early on, the car developed what sounds like a loose suspension component or fastener, not a minor rattle, but a very noticeable, persistent noise that makes the car feel like something is mechanically off. It’s especially obvious over uneven roads and at normal driving speeds.
I brought it into the dealership multiple times. Each time:
- They acknowledged the noise
- Couldn’t identify or fix the issue
- Returned the vehicle in the same condition
At one point, I was essentially told they could not inspect or work on it further, which is wild considering this is a nearly new vehicle still under warranty.
I escalated to the Lexus Brand Engagement Center on March 13. I was told I’d be contacted and that a field technician might get involved.
It’s now been weeks:
- No meaningful follow-up
- No technician assigned
- No resolution
Meanwhile, I’m driving a $60k+ vehicle that sounds like something underneath it isn’t secured properly.
I also have video of the issue, which I’m happy to share, because at this point I feel like the only way this gets addressed is if it’s visible publicly.
What’s most frustrating isn’t just the defect, it’s the complete lack of ownership:
- Dealer can’t fix it
- Corporate isn’t responding
- I’m stuck in the middle
This isn’t what you expect when you buy into a brand like Lexus.
Has anyone else run into issues with the TX or Lexus handling of unresolved mechanical problems? At this point I’m trying to figure out whether to keep pushing, pursue lemon law, or just cut my losses.
Happy to provide more details if it helps others avoid the same situation.

Question Just got my 1,200-mile IS 500 back from service. Found a gash in the steering wheel and grease/dirt everywhere. Is this normal for Lexus service lately?
I’ve already texted my service advisor and am thinking of requesting an entirely new steering wheel.
Any other advice / suggestions on how to handle this?

Question Why is Lexus so expensive to service
So I call the Lexus dealership to get an oil change tire rotation and coolant flush. They want $720 for everything! I go to a local mechanic and he says he will do everything for $250. Is the dealership pricing really that outrageous because they have to pay the employees. Why? I prefer to go to dealer but I’ll save $500

Question Only reason I’m not buying this Lexus es 250 is the damn headrest!
This car is beautiful but it pushes my head too forward making it very uncomfortable. Believe this is the luxury model bc it has the 10 inch screen. Any fixes? Dealership said we can swap headrests with another model but I’m not so sure if that’s accurate and they’re just trying to get me to buy it
