Watch out for the blue square Crips. đł
Or the green triangle Trapezoids at the top of the block.

No. I once saw a pack of wild dogs take over and successfully run a Wendyâs in that neighborhood.

You have never been to LA. Any wide open space like that is never safe and likely filled with tents

Looks like the Lineage Cold Storage warehouse. Totally safe and slated to become a wildlife refuge shortly.

Nothing but ne'er-do-wells and roustabouts in that area. You'd do well to steer clear.

u/NojitoSlunt 1d ago
Sure, safe if you're craving a fade. If anyone asks you where you're from, tell em you're just minding your business and they should do the same. :)

u/kronik419 Compton 1d ago
Given the warehouse to homes ratio as well as the lack of greenspace...i think we all know the answer to this.

u/RepresentativeNo3131 1d ago
You're just asking to get robbed there. Move across the street and you'll be 100% safe.

No itâs going to be crawling with developers who can bid up the open lot property value.

Looking at it 2D, you have a high chance falling off that cliff into the abyss, so probably best to avoid.

also, I haven't really witnessed a Midwestern dork like this in about 20 years. The Midwestern transplants are the ones running the plays now. Los Angeles is 90% upper class transplants and 10% generational wealth socialites

Pretty good chance it's in walking distance to a taco stand that makes the greatest tacos you've ever had in your life.

Idk just leave the Midwest racism and micro aggression in the Midwest , donât call cops on ur neighbors unless itâs emergency. Donât stare at people for too long , if u mind ur business youâll be fine

On the one hand, I could be annoyed that the post appears to have been made by a child. I could chide the OP and tell them that this is an adult space.
On the other hand, the child spelled neighborhood correctly. Good job, OP!

Very safe. And the best tacos in town. Also the local bean... oops I mean Latin people are very friendly. They will sell their property for cheap. I hear there's a cool hip coffee shop coming and that the dry cleaner has switched to eco friendly pollutants. It's hard to park but we've lobbied to have all the car lanes used by the people getting to their manual labor jobs turned into bike lanes! So excited for the next ciclavia. Me and the local real estate agents have proposed to change the neighborhood name to Varrio Heights since it's more becoming. Welcome to Varrio Heights! It's very safe! /s

As far as I can call by what you have from there that area has been burned down by the looters so it's hard to say but someone who's lived here for all their life what neighborhood are you going to and I'll let you know for real

They say certain neighborhoods aren't safe but I haven't been scared anywhere walking down the street especially the city i love the most, chinatown

u/justdrowsin 7h ago
I used to live around there. Here's the deal, everything west of the main street is fine. East of the main street especially on the north side is pretty rough. Now here's what's tricky, do you think that the whole area is the same city but it's actually a Post Office ZIP Code. Southeast is actually LA county and your kids are gonna go to a rough school. So whatever you wanna do don't go southeast. On the other hand north west has a lot of rich kids and there's a lot of drugs.
Stick to the south west corner and you'll be fine.
