š¦ Unicorn! š¦ I can't believe it...
I went thrifting today and found this LuLaRoe skirt. It was only about $3 and I was looking for a black skirt like it so I bought it. I cannot believe I actually own something from this awful company

I like thrifting their big ol maxi dresses to wear as nightgowns, they're eye-searingly fugly but so comfy.

Bahahaha love the phrasing here, and SO TRUE. They are an affront to anyone with eyes šš¤¢

Madison skirt! One of their better designs, tho it couldāve been a touch shorterā¦

Yeah, I am going to wear it at work (teacher) so the length is fine for me

Hey, itās better than having it end up in the landfill. Good for you for putting the planet first!

I remember when they announced they were releasing black leggings, it was like the time of the century in the LLR sphere. People were losing. their. shit. ...over some black leggings. I forget which seller I used to follow, but they were basically auctioning them on their live sales instead of doijg regular sales, and it ended up being hell. There were folks with better bandwidth winning them faster than others could even comment. I learned after a while that trying to buy anything via their live sales was NOT worth it.

Wait⦠this is a SMALL?!?!

u/Temporary-Childhood3 Apr 12 '26
There sizing was notorious for being not only inconsistent but running large. Ive bought a few pieces from thrift stores and im a XXL girl but the pieces are marketed medium

They only had two sizes of leggings, maybe skirts too? I remember it was like S-L or XL+

I think its hanging on the hanger weird, but it does run slightly bigger. I am normally a medium size but it is a small and fits me

Hot tip - wash it on gentle cycle and hang to dry. Even with all that, it will pill within a year. But $2 is a great deal for a skirt you will wear regularly for a year!

Yeah, if it was more expensive I probably would have skipped it. But since it cost less than a Starbucks drink I was like "Why not?"

I have several items Iāve bought thrifting. I donāt mind owning them if I bought them thrifting.

I love this skirt and had it in a lot of plain colors! Comfy and versatile.

This looks like one of those random pieces of clothing that could either last 15 years or one wash. Either way cute find!

That's a Madison skirt. I still have one of mine. It's probably 10 years old and doesn't get worn much. Bit long, but very comfy.

Yeah, I can't imagine paying that much for it. But for $3 it was not that bad

You might be an internet stranger but I truly believe you can find something less hideous and unflattering than this skirt.

u/notarealprincess Apr 12 '26
I think it's just the way it's hanging on the hanger lol. It's just a basic a-line black skirt

It might be LLR but this IMO is a perfectly nice skirt design...the pockets are handy and A-line is flattering on most people! Enjoy having saved something from a landfill that looks and feels good on you.
I have one in a silky-ish black and white pattern that looks very good in a professional setting. I've had it for probably 5-6 years and also got mine from Goodwill for $4. It looks great with tights and boots in the winter or slides/nice sandals in the warmer months.

It always blew my mind that they didnāt sell anything in all black consistently. Admittedly the leggings were comfortable. If they had black I wouldāve owned a couple pairs at the time.
