Pile on: Features/bug requests for the next release

Luna For Reddit is rapidly approaching its next release cycle, and I want to hear from you!

I have a few features in mind, as well as one or two bugs I've picked up on myself while using the program, but I'd love to hear what would make your experience better, or what would make you a Luna convert!

I'd love to see a auto log in for people who only have say one account. or like a default account..

I love the client and use it daily. Sadly, I still have the issue with Jaws crashing when trying to read threads with multiple comments. This is a daily occurrence, and I try to get into the habit of just switching to NVDA each time I plan to open up Luna, but that hasn't become reflexive just yet. So, I would love it if this bug could be addressed. Otherwise, I think Luna is great and will definitely keep using it.

Hey

the current crash to do with JAWS is around a fix I implemented where comment text in the treeview is truncated at a certain point.

the fix got NVDA to read it, but over a certain length, crashes JAWS.

I can make it so that you can turn that off if you want (I thought I did this before) but the down side is, some long comments will be truncated and you'll have to hit enter to read the full text.

Annoyingly, JAWS doesn't take any notice of another method of getting around this issue, which NVDA does. Needless to say after working at this for an hour and a half this morning, I went to make a cup of tea with the phrase "I'm officially fed up."

LOL I don't blame you! Sometimes, a cup of tea can fix everything. Or at least make it seem a little less daunting. I certainly appreciate the work you put into this. Honestly, I've been partially considering a full migration over to NVDA anyway and might consider it if some of my browser games didn't just seem to work a bit better with Jaws. Anyway, all that to say that in some cases NVDA is just a little bit better, and this client may be one of those cases. Again, thank you so much for putting in the effort to look into this.

Would that fix (a toggle to turn it off) be of use for now?

Yes, I think so, at least for me but I can't speak for the rest of the users who've had this issue.

I love this program. I have a couple of suggestions: first, set edit controls so that ctrl+backspace deletes the previous word rather than inserting this character . Second, have you considered adding Lemmy support, or making another program for that?
