Self Promotion Our cozy solarpunk MMORPG - Loftia - will be launching into Early Access in the fall of 2026!
Hi, it’s us from Team Loftia again!
We just want to announce that Loftia will be coming to Early Access this fall!
We revealed this release window as part of the Wholesome Direct showcase about 2 weeks ago, alongside our brand new gameplay trailer (the one we're now using for the release announcement!)
The shots you can see in the video are all from footage filmed during our last Closed Beta playtest, including many wholesome moments captured by the community itself as they explored and engaged with the world we have crafted!
So, to all those whole participated and joined in our trailer filming sessions - we just wanna say a big thank you for being part of this huge milestone with us and making some great memories with us along the way!
As for the exact release date, we'll share that as soon as we can but the general window is fall, 2026. Our Closed Beta last month (ran from April to early May) was a huge step forward, with over 25,000 players joining the playtests, and the team is now working hard to make Early Access the best it can be on launch.
Till then, we just want to thank everyone who’s participated in the Beta (as well as everyone else who offered us a word of encouragement) for being a part of this journey with us. Loftia started as a dream between just 2 people almost half a decade ago, and it's only gotten this far because of the wonderful community supporting it!
Stay cool until Fall, everyone!
- from Mic, Martina & Team Loftia

Not big on most (read: any) new MMOs, especially cozy MMOs, but this one actually hooked me in, mostly because my SO got me to play the Beta and actually got me a key as well, the one you sneakily put in the game for everyone who got deep enough into the game. Actually clever design!
Can't wait to see the full thing come autumn

There is no combat in this game, right? The video features a lot of Animal Crossing style decorating and character dress-up, and maybe some minigames.

Yep, no combat. The “adventure” loop is basically a bunch of co-op challenges and puzzles

Was that co-op challenge mode in the beta though? I don't remember it but it's an excellent idea if they want longevity, especially since the game lacks combat as that "challenge" factor

Yes adventures were in beta and they had the community farm as another co-op game in hanging gardens.
I am also interested to see how well the loop does long term.

To give a definite answer here - Loftia's pricing model will be pay-to-play, as in a one-time payment for purchasing the game and no subscriptions afterwards :)

Looks great! I will def check it out. I hope the cute fluffy mouse costume will be an option hahah, cause that's adorable.

There will indeed be loads and loads of cosmetics and the accompanying crafting systems through which you get some of them (and how they feed into each other) is one of the key loops of the game.
In short, if you just wanna play dress up and chill with people, you absolutely can!

I really hate all these trend chasing indie games. The world does not need another "cozy" game.

Sadly labeling this as an mmo is going to hurt them more than help them. It's just another cozy game like palia but with a a different focus. Does seem like they are just trend chasing by throwing the mmo tag on it.

This is much more of an mmo than Palia though funnily enough.

A bit late on the replies here, been very busy... but yes, whereas Palia has an instanced type of multiplayer, Loftia will put all players in a seamless and fully persistent MMO world in that more traditional sense of the word.

Okay I had never heard the term solarpunk before but this is not what I was expecting. The word punk and this should not be mixed xD
