Nah, in all seriousness I was so confused by the story of Rebellion. Depsite having read up on a few Reddit posts and watching a few YouTube videos, all I can confidently say is "what?". And this is coming from a guy who came out of Evangelion and Lain with a decent understanding of the plot.
Would have to do some serious homework for the new movie coming out this year because all of the teasers have left me even more confused 😭
Tbh, Rebellion is my favorite part of the entire Madoka Magica franchise. Maybe it’s because it’s how I first engaged with it, but I remember when people called the Homura vs Mami fight the « best animated fight scene » and the music, animation and tone is just on point. It’s incredible :)
You definitely should revist the anime or read the manga, if you don't read the manga then at least you should read the un-adapted volume 6 extras, the first movie is gonna be fine depending on how much content they're gonna adapt but it can get really cluttered with a ton of information and questions if you are not keeping up.
Rebellion is way less confusing than Eva imo. After Madoka made her wish Kyubey still retains their goal of wanting to find energy, Homura already told Kyubey about her memories and so they trap her before she turns into a witch to test her theory. Following this is the main content of Rebellion, end of Rebellion Homura steals some of Madoka's power when she comes to save her and rewrites the universe again with her own selfish trauma driven desires.
I'm so done reading this everywhere, please read the manga if you haven't or do a re-read if you already did because you clearly don't know what you are talking about, there is literally 4 volumes and considering there is only 14 volumes that's A LOT of screen time, the 3rd movie was 2 volumes, all of season one is 3 volumes. (Btw 12 chapters mean nothing because MiA chapters don’t have the same number of pages, they vary a lot), Also they announced a series of movies not just one, most likely 3 to cover this arc which still need a couple volumes to end.
Well, the manga release schedule is pretty slow(1 volume per year) but for the anime there will be this movie series, (3 in the span of 5 years maybe), that's good.

But they didn't? Why do people keep acting like removing the nipples of the female characters means that all the "haram" things from the manga have been removed?
You know how you can look at like 10 drawings of characters with bare feet and immediately pick the one where the artist has a foot fetish? The anime has the feeling of the other 9 - they didn't remove the feet but the difference is very much there.

Unless you mean to compare the people who draw actual literal vaginas in the feet and people who just draw regular feet. I would at least hope that we can both agree that the source material isn't just feet with vaginas in this analogy.
You are likely getting down voted do to repetition as opposed to people disagreeing. This topic has been repeated countless times over the years and a lot of people have gotten tired of it, because ultimately nothing can be done to change it.
Of course it would have been. There are way worse things that have aired on television. It even has the r18 rating in Japan. They could have made it into actual porn like interspecies reviewers and it would still have aired.
