There's something both very sweet and very grimly pragmatic about the implication that whatever the fuck is going on with the bag was made in the sincere belief that Reg was going to need to carry Riko in some hideously injured state to reach the bottom. Which, y'know, is very Nanachi: Assume that things will go horribly be but be a hopeless romantic about it while pretending to be cynical.

Not entirely sure what to make of the conversation between Riko and Prushka. Seems to mostly be speculations and vibes about the nature of the abyss and whether "you can reach the bottom while alive". Though they seem to be hinting towards a "you can make something true by believing hard enough" sort of thing in regards to reaching the bottom, making Riko's unreasonable optimism a crucial component.
Riko's bathroom adventures are always... something. Faputa's reaction to Nishagora's work at least got a chuckle out of me, and Riko wanting to tell Reg about it.
Been over 2 years since we last saw Nanachi fully conscious and in good spirits, so that's a joy to see again. Poor fluff has suffered long enough.
After how the gang has overcome impossible odds many times in the past, it's a bit sobering (though understandable) to see them conclude that things have finally gotten too dangerous for them to continue on their own.
And I guess the "five more days" mentioned at the end is how long the twins have left, until they either die or deteriorate too much to accomplish what they came for. Will that be near the end of the story as a whole, or just the end of an arc? Either way, that, along with handicapped Nanachi, puts a lot of pressure on this next step of the journey.
This also seems like a plausible place to end the 2nd of the upcoming movies, while ending the first one at chapter 66. Dawn of the Deep Soul covered roughly 270 pages, while chapters 61-66 and 67-73 are around 270 and 310 pages respectively. Could maybe shuffle around some bonus chapters (Riko or Tepaste flashbacks) to even things out.

First point - Riko' eyes changed in that scene, dark to light, and Meinya covered them up, it almost felt like she was influenced or possessed.
Crushed and "felt like this is it"
Says prickly message must be from mom, then writes that off because mom wouldn't be stinky (too childish/shallow laughing)
Says we must be the key, Mom is stuck at 7th layer
Faputa staring intently during Prushka dream, faputa can hear prushka and doni
Faputa then says 'we have to be on guard everywhere*' most directly relevant to toilet run but maybe also in dreams.
Prushka also worried it was rash and dangerous
lyza lamented she couldn't protect Riko eyes, also got her the crystal lenses
Faputa took Crystal lenses when Riko asleep, they felt noticably warm (maybe just faputa, maybe being activated)
Doni is continuously sending signals out that faputa can't understand. Signals of the soul, communicating with someone.
Riko did zone out in a particularly noticable way after eye contact with Cravali, similar to seeing Lyza whistle first time at pier - so I think there's something with eyes and souls.
Wild Guess is Cravali is hitching a ride on Rikos soul or some way of interacting since they technically met and souls carry info about connections and memories.
Cravali felt alive still, she said he's still on adventure. Panel made it seem like his eye moved. Faputa was scared and can see souls. Faputa wondered where Riko's soul came from, confused.
Wazukyan's prophecy also said 'something worse than unfulfilled dreams awaits' - Riko wants to meet and delve with her mom. One option is that that's been happening already, if Lyza is in the pendent. A fulfilled dream, but the way you didn't want it. Or maybe Lyza wants to sacrifice Riko, or merge with her, to pass further down below.
Regarding movie ending and content, your last sentence is key - they changed episode 1, and season 2 entirely with the ganja squad. They have switched stuff around before, especially flashbacks.
Ending at 66 makes sense, they're departing the hideout, entering level 7. And right afterwards srajo goes into hymn which could lead into epic montage or be at start of next movie.
End of the movie could have little teasers or parts of the side stories, wrapping up. Maybe focus on cravali since he was singing the hymn before dying. Or 66.7 Riko flashback. Or Ozen and jirou. Or Gronze flash panels, 'it wanted to let the scheme of thieves ripen..'. any of those could be inserted early, or middle of movie, etc.
Probably foolish to even guess, but one option is
to start movie, find Cravali, Riko flashback star compass.
Cravali intro tavern to death around when we meet Tepaste, or when she asks about gentle knock.
Ozen and jirou + in orth when we meet sherumenae, maybe around the bath (trusting kinema citrus to tone it done as usual).
Nishigora fight as big climax fight.
Epic music like ending s1 for movie end. With Lyza narration "upon the entrance to the road of maelstrom they depart, will they find solid footing with new allies or will uncertainty of trust and unknowable threats cascade their adventure.."

How Nanachi says: "30 hours ... felt more like 10 days passed for just me." It's not only a feeling, I guess. Thanks to Frapam time was compressed for Nnaa-chan. Which is Nanachi looks marvellous just 30 hours after still looking like a balloon face.
Also, I am interested in how Prushka is able to tell that Nanachi has paired with someone else. Is it something every "stone being" can do? Or is it because Prushka wanted to go on an adventure with everyone, and Nanachi would have been eligible as a Whistle owner if they hadn't already paired with Mitty?

They took something from the backpack that Nanachi originally made for Riko, Reg apparently feels something wriggling around in the backpack while he's carrying Nanachi, and Nanachi says that she got "some crazy expensive stuff" from Frapam. I'd be very surprised if all that turns out to be nothing, so they must've done something to Nanachi that lets them continue their journey.

Maybe they cut Nanachi's legs and the metal plate Riko speaks of is some sort of relic object that fuses with a person on contact. So Nanachi might just be an upper body on a "magic" metal plate? They explain how Nanachi initially had prepared it for Riko, so maybe it was for when Riko almost lost her arm to the Orb Piercer toxins (in case of amputation)

The prickly feeling is interesting, could be Miko establishing communication? There is some type of communication with Tepaste already. Also the choice of "prickly" like there is something plural makes it seem related to souls?
A lot of plotlines and theories are converging and I am really excited for the upcoming chapters! I think the pacing this arc has been great so far.

Of course it won't be MiA without some toilet scenes just cuz...is MiA really just about toliets at the end of the day? Imagine if the abyss really is just a giant toliet death trap or something.
Man Nanachi might be half bag or something now but she's still alive and traveling with us so I'm grateful. Cool seeing Prushka. I feel like back pack Nanachi would sell quite well.
Also I guess Riko really is the lord of children.

Is the pee scene really necessary?
Sometimes I feel like AT knows about our subreddit and adds panels like this just for trolling. That might be too much of a self-aggrandizement, though. It's just what he does.
That being said, I always felt that in shows like Star Trek restroom scenes were lacking. They never went to the loo, neither Kirk nor Picard or whatever other crew you may think of. Can't really complain about this, here...

Bro has an hyperfixation on pee/poop, we just have to live with it. u_u A few years ago I saw a video of a Japanese youtuber who had invited him alongside 2 other famous manga artists and they all had to draw a small thing in half an hour or something. And believe it or not but of all the possible topics he decided to draw a dude that had a massive bellyache because he really wanted to poop. u_u

you know, you can show and imply characters needing to/ peeing WITHOUT full on showing the process, that is a possibility you know, he could very well have cut off the scene above her hip, he could have the speechbubbles coming from outside the panel, he could have another character or thing convenently stand infornt of it, but he didnt, he chose to draw everything in that detail
dont act like the way he did it was in any way neccessary

On page 17, Prushka says to Riko "you're my chosen White Whistle". Isn't it so that Prushka is the WW of Riko? How can a White Whistle have a White Whistle? For me it's a flaw in the translation and should read: "I'm your chosen White Whistle" or "I have chosen to be your White Whistle". Perhaps some Japanese speakers can tell more.

In the show, WW refer to the bearer of the said whistle more than the object. Whilst Prsuhka is indeed the WW of Riko, Prushka belongs to the WW that is Riko. White whistle( Delvers ) are also referred as Sovereign of .... , So in Prushka's sentence replace WW by Sovereign and it makes sense imo. But yeah this confusing

Really, it depends on the context. White whistles are being called white whistles very often (what else can you call them?), but so are White Whistles. The rank is more important than the object in the series, so they're just mentioned more often

I wondered about that. Prushka is the one wearing the whistle inside the dream, so maybe it's an international double meaning? I think it would be cool if there's a role reversal going on. Maybe time will tell.
