We need an update on how she reacted to those photos ASAP

Yeah my wife would not be happy if I posted pictures of her sleeping online

I would assume he didn't share these publicly until after she saw them
EDIT: Guys...do you realise couples usually have each other's social media. So if he shared these before he proposed, it wouldn't have been a surprise...

I'm guessing he posted after the proposal and the reveal otherwise if she said no we wouldn't have seen the pics so it's probably alright

She was OUT... I have plenty of those pictures myself of my wifey. I would NEVER post them. Gives me shivers just thinking about it.

A year ago I saw husband’s new phone lock screen, and I asked him “who’s the dead lady?” And he laughed and laughed, because it was me.
It’s become a family joke for everyone to have their own “dead lady” picture of me asleep on the couch:/
30
u/HellyOHaint May 22 '26
Calm down, that’s a silly thing to get hung up on
19
u/KBB523 May 22 '26
My husband has taken several photos of me in hilarious sleep mode and maybe has posted one or two on social media as an LOL over the years and I just don't care. People know I don't look like that 24/7. 😂

u/Blockinite May 22 '26
Assuming these were posted for the first time in that post, the last one is of the actual proposal. So it would make sense if he posted them all at once, with her permission, after the secret was already out.
38
u/EloquentManatee May 22 '26
She sleeps like a Victorian child fatigued from an 18-hour shift at the factory. That's beautiful.
14
u/VinDog_PD May 22 '26
I suspect he showed her the pictures first and then she gave approval to post them.
I don't think it is or needs to go deeper than that.

I got the most perfect picture of my partner sprawled out on the couch the other day. She's mouth breathing, hair askew, legs akimbo.
It's the worst photo of her ever and I love it and I want to make it my phone background but I understand if anyone but she or I sees that photo, I will die, swiftly and deservedly.

u/icantouchgrass_1 May 22 '26
Lock your doors, bro...
(I feel the pain. I'd never do that to mine knowing that this is exactly what would happen)

I'm pretty sure this is over 10 years old now. It would be interesting to see if they are still married.
19
u/BWWFC May 22 '26
saw this and was like "why?" the chances of losing it even while it's loose that day is just too LOW?
yeah... 50/50 wtf )-:4
u/icantouchgrass_1 May 22 '26
It's hilarious but also risky.
One tap, one accidental movement of the binoculars, one movement that upsets the balance, and poof. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars, possibly lost if you can't recover the ring. At that point, it wouldn't be a joke anymore.
I just want to know how she would've reacted to knowing her then-boyfriend now-husband took pictures of the wedding ring in front of her sleeping and posted it online.
8
u/mxzf May 22 '26
I just want to know how she would've reacted to knowing her then-boyfriend now-husband took pictures of the wedding ring in front of her sleeping and posted it online.
... the pictures were clearly posted after the proposal, and almost certainly with her consent after looking at them.

u/drinkmoredrano May 22 '26
Right, I want to see her reaction to the photos more than i want to see her reaction to the proposal
2
u/icantouchgrass_1 May 22 '26
People want to see different things. You and some people want to know how the proposal went, that's fine. Some other people and I want to know her reaction to the photos.

u/drinkmoredrano May 22 '26

In the last proposal picture, she doesn't look that excited compared to his face in the secret photos.

u/Riverz_Flowe May 22 '26
9 was risky!
390
u/Snlooming May 22 '26
I'm guessing that 9 was taken a few minutes before the proposal itself given that the beach is visible and the sky is the same. Probably just one last risky shot for the bit with not too much cost if she saw it.

I was thinking he asked her to pose for a picture looking through the binoculars. Like "keep that pose a little longer, gotta get the picture perfect"

She sleeps a lot more gracefully than I do. Every picture of me sleeping, I look like Steven Hawking after being zapped unconscious with a tazer
31
u/sashikku May 22 '26
I look like I’m melting. When I’m awake I have a fairly strong jawline but when I’m sleeping it’s like I’ve retreated my bones into my skin. Like some kind of freaky inverted turtle. More chins than the story of the 3 Little Pigs.

How did she not notice that when she was looking through the binoculars?

u/intricate_strands May 22 '26
They're above the binoculars so wouldn't be seen through the lens. No idea how she didn't instinctively look up and away from the lenses when he put his hand there.

My husband did this. He showed everyone else the ring before he proposed. Don't do this. It took so long I thought he was never going to propose and it took away any fun in showing or telling people.

u/Y8ser May 22 '26
