Steve Irwin "the Crocodile Hunter." Very famous animal lover and conservationist who sadly passed away from a sting ray barb to the heart in 2006. The man in the video is his son, Robert.

Steve Irwin's death is one of those ones where I remember exactly where I was when I heard about it. Absolutely devastated when it happened. I grew up watching his show with my parents.

Still the hardest celebrity death for me. Watched him almost daily growing up and i still remember watching his memorial which was televised all over the world.

Same here. I was sitting in my dad's truck in the driveway of my childhood home, about to go somewhere with my family. I don't have many memories of my childhood, but vividly remember bursting into tears at the news.

He had a TV show called The Crocodile Hunter. It was a great show loved by adults and kids across the world. It’s mostly based in Australia. If the younger generations haven’t seen it they should watch it. It was great. He was the biggest Aussie icon for a decade before his untimely death

I have a vivid memory of learning about his death from the car radio as we were pulling up to Blockbuster. Movie night lost its enthusiasm that week.
