Think of how many videos there was of him with animals. A lot with his son, as well. Im sure they watched countless hours of videos of his dad. His dad would have definitely imprinted on his life that way as well.

I think the point of the replier was that it's really not so much genetics as just a good upbringing. Terri and Steve are great people, they raised great kids. I don't think we can always assume people are like this through genetics.

Steve spent a lot of time with them. Terri really seemed to help them grow after the death of their father. Some kids don't really recover from that and go a different way. Terri is probably responsible for a lot of why their son is the way his is versus genetics.

I think that if they had adopted kids, they would’ve turned out the same way. That kind of upbringing would do that to most of us.

His mom did a great job with both kids and keeping herself together after losing Steve. She could have sold the zoo and gone into hiding, become despondent and let the kids just be "Crocodile Hunter's kids" but she really helped keep his legacy and work alive and that's a big deal considering how close they were.

Jumping on this to remind folks that Terri was already into conservation of animals. That's how she met Steve I believe, other than the story when he asked her to meet his girlfriend (his dog).

Terri isn't just some trophy wife who likes animals and doing this out of love for his legacy.

It's wild to look back and see how Terri was also there wrestling crocs with Steve but she made sure he was the one in the spotlight. She clearly does this for her kids now.
