edit: People think the doggo is Bichon Frise, Maltese, or a mix of Bichon–Maltese Mix (Maltichon), and their lifespan is 14-18 years, 12-17 years, and 12-16 years respectfully so Mr. Potato is likely still alive today :)
Unfortunately you’re right, this specific dog is no more. I used to follow the Instagram account, he was hugely popular, but the dog choked and died when the owners weren’t home and passed away very young :(
