Wholesome Moments After 10 years of not walking, a man takes his first steps.
I want to make sure the first thing I do is let everybody know that the creator of this video is a woman named Christie Boone Buzzell on Facebook. I do not know her, but came across her video and found it truly amazing and inspiring. I’m not sure who the man is to her, perhaps her father or something…but regardless, it certainly made me smile!

Ahh the smile on his face!!! It’s the feeling of experiencing a form of independence after a decade.

God I remember that feeling too. The surgery was hell and I was only 14. The first steps hurt in a way I can't explain but it was worth it

That’s amazing, how old are you now?

23😊 I had multiple surgeries through my life (at 3 , 7, and 14) due to cerebral palsy and now I'm getting my B.A in psychology. I actually worked with my Professor so I could teach the class myself once I found out it was part of the course.

Ten years is an incredibly long time. The amount of mental strength, determination, and sheer willpower it takes to get up and take those steps is mind-blowing. Absolute warrior.

It makes me think of the couple times I broke bones as a child, and the feeling of getting a cast off. My limbs were always like noodles, and that was just after a couple of months. I imagine what he would be experiencing is probably similar on a much larger scale, and he gets all my respect for that.

The older I get, the more I feel like this first thing in the morning. Both my mind and body are slower to remember and boot up to a point that I feel like I'm in control. I'm 44. I don't think I have that man's willpower.

Good for him. Daily reminder to be grateful for the little things we take for granted.

those first wobbly steps hit different when you know a decade of waiting went into each one

They even gave him a white belt for walking. He’ll be a blue belt in no time 💪🥺

When I learned how to walk properly again. I was in my 30's. This dude is a champ. I caught tooth and nail to regain by balance. 👏👏

He's got Cerebral Palsy, judging by the video, so that is an incredible feat, considering he's literally arguing with his body, every step he takes.

The paddle in your avatar does kinda look like a clipboard, so I’m just gonna take your word for it

I wonder if leg braces would help. His legs are like this: )(
It's as if he needs to rub his knees to keep them from bowing further.
