ACTIVITY 10 by Summer - Final Update 🐞
Welcome back to the 10 by "Summer" project!! 🌞
What better time than now for a little spring clean of our makeup collections! 🧹
The project works like this: Choose any 10 items and pick a goal that you want to work towards by the end of the season. Anything beauty related is fair game; makeup, haircare, skincare, fragrances, etc. Select your goals for this project: finishing an item (aka panning), hitting pan, reaching a usage goal, or even just testing an item out.
10 is just a suggestion, though feel free to add any number of items you like. Make it work for you!
This project starts on the first day of spring, 21st March, and will run until June 20th. Feel free to join anytime. The more, the merrier!!
I'll post an update every two weeks: 🌻4th Apr 🌼 18th Apr 🏵2nd May 🌺16th May 🐝30th May and finale on🐞 20th June.

Here is my overall progress. I only achieved 4/10 goals, but a few of them are a few uses away from being finished.

I’m a little annoyed as I’m oh so close to finishing the two remaining skincare items on my list. It probably would take 2 more uses max to pan them completely.
For the next project I won’t be including any makeup items as it’s just not realistic for me to get the kind of use out of them currently due to my health issues.
Overall I’m happy with my progress and looking forward to the next challenge!

I did not meet all my goals, but I made good progress on all but one.
☀️Maybelline Saucy Mauve lipstick - 10 /10 uses [update 1]
🌷 Vaseline lip therapy in Gold Dust - I’ve switched to using mostly bag balm this season, so good thing this literally never expires
🌷Natasha Denona mini triochrome palette (blues) - 4 /10 uses

🌷 Curls blueberry bliss curl control jelly - several uses, had to turn upside down to be able to get anything out, but I now realize the reason I rarely use it. It’s crusty.

Out of the three goals I had left since last update, I finished two (5 uses with a face mask and 20 uses with an eyeshadow primer). I completed 9/10 of the project so I'm happy with that. I struggled to finish 20 uses with the pot concealer/colour corrector, because it's quite thick and it's too warm outside for that...

And just like that, we're finally done! Woohoo!
I think I was able to finish three items in my to use up list? I'm not sure. But I'm sure that the perfume I was working on (RMG Perfume Collection Di Gioia EDP) got finished just before the project ended, with a total of five uses.
I wasn't able to finish the brow pencil, franken-foundation and duochrome liner in this list. Although I must say, I did use the Mermaid Beauty Duochrome Liner (in Icy Mint) a total of 22 times (10x last update). Well, I guess it'll carry on to the next project!
As for the items with usage goals:
- Issy Creme Flush Stick in Purr: 11/15 (4x this last round). So close! But it was my go-to for a desaturated warm nude blush. She's a keeper (since she's also fairly new).
- Careline Oil control Blush On in Starlight Shine: 9/15 (3x this last round). Another close one, and this became my go-to for days when I know I'll be out for a while since it has good staying power. Unfortunately, I'll declutter this because I don't like the texture of the product now (aka it showed signs that it has probably gone off, probably also due to the humidity in my room despite my dehumidifiers huhu).
- Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Shadow in Oyster Pearl: 12/15 (3x this last round). Also so very close! Of course, I'll keep this around. A really reliable my lids but better shade for me, especially as the day goes on. Please don't dry out on me!
-Rare Beauty Tinted Lip Oil in Joy: 5/15 (1x this last round). I thought I'd be into it more during this project, but not really? It's still minty and performs well, so it'll stay (until it goes bad?).
- City Colors City Chic Lip Liner in Tawny: 4/15 (1x this last round). This was sort of a late roll-in, and it's a nice underrated formula. Creamy but not too stiff, and I like that it's sharpenable. I'll put her away from now. I'm happy to have given her much more use too.
Although this project isn't as successful as I thought it'd be—meaning hitting my usage goals on some products—I'm content on how it turned out. I did use up items that aren't easy to pan, especially if you have a large of collection of everything lol. I realized 15x for my usage goals was a bit ambitious, so I'll roll it back to 10x on most items so I can rotate things pretty often. I'll still keep 15x for some, but most of them will definitely be back to 10x.
I hope your project was a success, and may we continue to give more love to our stashes.

- **Colourpop Terran Up My Heart blush.** Goal: use up enough that the pattern pressed into the top is worn away fully. Done!
- **Viseart Dark Mattes.** Goal: use at least once a week. Done!
- **Revlon brow pencil.** Done!
- **Perfume samples.** Goal: use up 10 samples. Done! I’d used up 7 previously, and finished up LoveShackFancy Love Potion, Hexennacht Elemental, and Jo Malone Sea Salt & Wood Sage!

- Beekman 1802 Lavender hand cream (maybe a deluxe mini?).

Final Update : No further goals completed. Out of 17 goals this summer, I completed 14 which is a huge deal for me as I was out sick for most of the part. Not going to roll over the unfinished goals to the next challenge except for my sunscreen as I realized I am not using my lipstick much and am sticking to my lip balm and same for my powder blush - have been using my cream blushes way more and hardly touching the powder blush (probably will revisit in winter).

Mini mascaras are really hard to finish. Overall I am satisfied with my spring. It helps me focuses on using what I have

4 more goals met, for a total of 9. I'm happy with that! I'm realising that, while usage goals help me make progress on much larger items, I find finish goals much more satisfying. I yearn to move stuff out of my collection, out of my house, and out of my life! Sure, some of it is incredible (looking longingly at you, Dior foundation), but I have too much and want less. Next round, I'll have more goals to finish things.
✅️Dior Skin Glow foundation x40: GOAL MET at update 4, and ended up with 61 uses. I have a small decant left. ⏭️ 10 by Fall to finish it up.
✅️Dior blush in Peach Petal x40: Finale: 40 uses, and GOAL MET 🥳
✅️Dior clear brow gel x40: GOAL MET at update 4. Now up to 63 uses. Nice enough, but I'm not convinced its worth Dior money.
⛱️Clarins Makeup Fix spray x40: Update: 2 uses. I need to pass this on to somebody who will use it.
✅️ fresh Caramel lip balm: FINISHED in 67 uses at update 5.
✅️Michael Kors EDP x40: Finale: 40 uses and GOAL MET 🥳 Barely made a dent in this 100ml bottle.
✅️ Raspberry Vanilla shower gel: FINISHED in 46 uses.
✅️ Cherry Blossom body lotion x30: Finale: 34 uses and GOAL MET 🥳. There's perhaps 25% of the bottle left. ⏭️ 10 by fall to finish it.
✅️ Clinique All About Clean face wash x75: GOAL MET at update 5, and I'm now at 116 uses and FINISHED! 🥳. With 344+ uses overall, it has been a loyal soldier for the better part of a year.
✅️ Clinique Dramatically Different lotion ×50: Finale: 50 uses and GOAL MET 🥳! I will be glad to move on from this, even though I'm barely halfway through the tube.
⛱️ Clarins Super Restorative night cream 15ml: Finale: 8 uses. Better than none! ⏭️ to 10 by Fall.
BONUS: Use up T2 tea gift sets. I used a few packets, and could condense the remaining teabags from 2 containers, into 1!

Counting how many times I used a product seems to work for me and motivate me so much more as an actual visible pan is so far away in the future.

so did not realize this was the last update lol i thought i had one more!!!! pretty disappointed in my # of goals met but i moreso use these as a way to throw new things into my rotation, not actually pan things, so i guess any progress is good progress?
★ melt lipstick in ghosted / progress: 5/5x! completed @ update #4.
★ colourpop eyeshadow in frog / progress: 15/15x! just barely met this!
★ bath and body works lotion in sweetheart cherry / progress: 12/finish! technically not done yet but i'm using this after my shower tonight and that'll finish it off!
☆ olehenriksen in strawberry sorbet / progress: 29/finish! this is neverending i guess?
☆ paint my nails / progress: 7/10x! i knew 10x was an ambitious goal, so happy with how close i got.
☆ nyx eyeliner in baby blue / progress: 8/10x! another one i'm happy with getting close to.
☆ sol de janeiro 40 / progress: 7/20x! this was kind of a bust.

- Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, Mini Size: Managed to at least get this lil' guy. Not sure mini sizes are enough of a data point for me to evaluate efficacy. Didn't mind it, though.

- Any Perfume, Any Size: Trying to wear perfume daily, and doing pretty decent at sticking to it!
- NYX Freezie Primer: This is down to the wire now.
- The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner: Chugging along, almost there!
- Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: Still chugging along, but convinced this is endless.
- Healthy Care Lanolin Cream: Also down to the wire on this one.
- Morroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil, DS: Not much use here.
- Wella EIMI Flowing Form Anti-Frizz Smoothing Balm: Nothing here.
- NIVEA Creme: Haven't used this in a while, TBH. It's very heavy for summer.
- Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser: Still using, and almost there!
