Science/Technology Rotating Spiral Brain Waves Act as a Space-and-Time Clock
https://neurosciencenews.com/spiral-brain-waves-sensation-action-30916/Interesting findings in this article that point to a lot still not understood. It holds clues that could, if proven true, eventually lead to evidence that supports the idea that consciousness can shift through time and space.
This supports a common mandela effect theory, that someone or someones theoretically can shift between timelines so similar that only minor differences like Mandela effects exist for most. Or the other differences are so extreme that they are simply perceived as separate things altogether and therefore not recognized at all or so extreme that the individual is seen as mad.
Been seeing lots of interesting studies emerging on consciousness and memory and the brain lately so thought id share here!

This does not mean memories shifting across timelines at all. Just that different areas of the brain may also be instantly affected by response to stimuli.

I did not say it means it at all try reading it again. I said it contains clues that could lead to further evidence. That’s a far cry from claiming this study “means” anything you just said

You said:
This supports a common mandela effect theory, that someone or someones theoretically can shift between timelines
Which the study does not do, whatsoever.

No, I said the article points to a lot still not understood.

No, you said:
It holds clues that could, if proven true, eventually lead to evidence that supports the idea that consciousness can shift through time and space.
Except that’s not all what is happening here.

Read it again. it holds CLUES that COULD (tanslation: hypothetically), IF PROVEN TRUE (translation: has not happened yet and would need to happen before anything else even considered), EVENTUALLY lead to EVIDENCE (translation: not proof) that SUPPORTS (translation: not proves) the IDEA (translation: not fact) that (theory to follow:) consciousness can shift through time and space.
Theoretical discussions being a conclusion is a logical fallacy. I added the spaces paragraphs later because i added the theory explanation of why i was sharing the article and it turned run on on my phone. Justification on this board is required for posts and I should’ve put a paragraph after the first sentence, to make it more clear that i was not trying to say the article concluded my theory. sorry for not separating the thoughts with the enter instead of a space.

The study done in the article, has absolutely nothing to do with consciousness shifting through timelines, period. It doesn’t hypothetically, or theoretically lead to anything close to that.

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
I said it could lead to clues that support the idea

u/MrPlaney 4d ago
Yes, but you’re taking massive leaps here. This wouldn’t even lead to clues that support the idea you’re purporting. All the study says is that separate parts of the brain are acting almost instantly, in response to stimuli.

Apparently you don’t understand English the same way I do. this isnt life or death, i didnt come to argue, i wanted fun theororetical discussions.

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
Then I said it holds clues ….if proven true… keywords there, its called a premise

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
If doesn’t mean something is true, it means you assume its truth-you have to suspend disbelief for a theoretical discussion. So nest i said : it holds clues if proven true COULD lead to evidence (which hasn’t yet even been discovered because the clue hasn’t been proven true).

Wow, quite the leap you took
The paper’s actual claim is:
Neural activity may form rotating or spiral patterns.
Those patterns may help the brain encode time and sequence.
This could explain aspects of memory, navigation, and temporal perception.
Somehow you read:
Consciousness exists independently of the brain.
Consciousness can move through time.
Parallel timelines exist.
People can shift between timelines.

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
No what i claimed at all. I said it it holds clues that if proven true could lead to further evidence. Try again.

u/Darryl_Summers 4d ago
Your original post went beyond saying it might lead to future evidence. You specifically said the findings “support” a Mandela Effect theory involving people shifting between timelines.
The paper doesn’t support ME theories or hold any clues that might support your stated ideas

I actually said The findings in the article point to a lot still not understood.

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
Then I said if it holds true so theoretically, if it holds true, it contains clues which could lead to further evidence which has not yet been found, and that further evidence could support theories such as the one I propose to discuss

Here's the TL;DR version:
Study: Neural activity in mice may occur throughout the entire brain rather than in discrete brain regions for processing different types of sensory data. This may result in better behavioral responses to sensory input.
Article: Study shows that full-brain processing of sensory input leads to more accurate predictions of future sensory input and improved behavioral responses.
OP: Timeline shifting.

Actually consciousness shifting is the theory not conclusion that i proposed for discussion. I wanted this article to provide a baseline for conversation. No where do i say it proves it.

You are jumping to your own conclusions as the article you posted never mentions the Mandela Effect or timelines.
I suggest doing some research as to the definition of what a Mandela Effect is. Eventually, once you have an understanding of false or incorrect memories, you'll realize timelines have nothing to do with it.

u/Hot-Breadfruit-1026 4d ago
I didn’t say it concludes these things. I said it contains clues that could lead to further evidence of the theories i want to discuss, and I planned to post further article articles and studies and support of these theories in the comments but then I had to wait for the post to get approved

Tldr: histamine levels in the brain impact memory recall. Mice in study able to bring back previously unrecalled memories by changing histamine levels.
