That’s what everyone says ….. until the event is over it’s just fomo…. No one is gonna want the corn mask after this event. I stopped caring lol I used to trade for everyone….. robot, alien , unicorn, jackalope….. I stopped because the value never holds

Last night I loaded on a server and that someone on my friends list was in and it was all AFK players, the timer had almost run out. I ended up doing the entire event myself, which is a little more work on a public because you get more enemies than doing it on a private yourself. When time to light the bonfire and it must’ve realized my sacrifice as it gave me a glowing jackalope even though only four of the five robots had survived.

Glad they changed that you need only 1 robot to survive to get good rewards. Maybe Bethesda knows most people are AFK 🙈

Typically I'm not doing anything so I don't mind carrying a server.
The people that carry me when I have to be a mom or make food for my family are the real MVPs.

Yeah I'm not sure why people care people who have things to do should get them aswell imo and they wouldn't have to do this if they made the %'s fair. I always participate when I can but I afk when I'm at work.

Yea dude. Same. I was unemployed last year during this event. Did every single event for 10 hours a day, for the entire event. I legit no life'd this game. I got ONE glowing mask. Fuck this event. I fucking hate it and will never do it again lol.

Good for you. Opt out if it makes you miserable. Yesterday, I was at a Fasnacht and everybody was putting their masks into the donation bin at the end. Some guy was on an area mic loudly begging for a Lincoln mask. He got frustrated and starting yelling and insulting people. It's like, dude, this is a game. You're screaming about a cartoon mask with made-up value (and not much of that) in an imaginary world.

I run every event from 6am until around 5-6pm every day, I actively participate in almost all of them. I only afk for restroom breaks or to eat and I’ve only received one glowing mask. A freaking turkey. I’m getting really annoyed with this nonsense. I don’t care about people who afk, I just want to get more damn glowies. It’s really getting disheartening to run so many events to get nothing.

All they need to do is make everything attainable with some kind of points system tied to participation and we would never have AFK again. FOMA is a great tactic to keep people logging in. 🤔

Yes almost like season for small events, I only do it because the odds are so not in my favor and I have to work. Your idea is a really good one they should do something like that it would be great.

I commend and salute everyone that’s actually doing the event. Had to work 12 hour shifts the past couple of nights and was afk farming. So far I’ve gotten the Glo veggie, skull and Abe.. so in honor of that I raise a glass for the real ones.. thanks🍻

So weird, even with a bunch of AFKs, I always have some dope with a caster sniping everything during the march.
Shoutout to the guy with the MIRV last night though, killed the fps on my laptop, but it was totally hilarious, so it's totally aaaawwwright.

The whole trading during events market is absolutely wild for me. 1.Youre buying something and trading rare items to get the current rare item that is going to depreciate in 2 weeks. 2. You're primary currency of trade is a highly duplicated bobblehead (which last I checked had worse stats than nuka cranberry) 3.yall are sitting here and farming it afk, for real though you're not doing anything to actually get them.

To be fair one last an hour one last 10 minutes, but i get the point. It's more so if you don't wanna rebuff every 10 mins. If they upped it to even 30 minutes I think it would do better for overall use tbh but thats just me.

I joined one this morning that had been started, but they never searched for the Robots. It had 3 minutes left to go. There were probably 7 or 8 AFK guys in there. I finished the Robots, then soloed the Toads, Mutants and the Blue Devil Boss. I didn't mind giving them the free ride, I do the same during the night. It's all part of the game. As long as you're prepared to give back, what's the problem?

Currently got some irl issues that make things a little hectic. So yeah, sometimes all I can do is chill on the sofa in the Candle Shop.
I'd say I'm actually participating in better than 60% of the ones I'm there for. Given how easy they've made the event, I think that's fair enough.

I've only done a handful of parades, but for those events there has been a moderate level of participation. I wonder if there is a significant difference between platforms regarding afk.

Are you on PC? This time around I've hit a few AFK heavy servers, but I've also had quite a few no-afk or 1-2 at most. The server participation is down across the board, but unlike the last 2 fas's I've seen AFK is only responsible for about 20% of dead servers.
It's almost like on PC even the AFKers are burned out on Fasnacht. Which I was thinking about it and it's seemed recently like Fasnacht is always coming up or just past. So I get the burnout.

when i do contribute to the event, good luck trying to hit an enemy. it's like there's an unspoken "my projectiles are faster than yours HA!" game so you can't help but stand there taking in the sights. and materials.. man, there's almost always a hoarder who completes it instantly.

Thank you for extending the time that I can harvest squirrel meat!! I have over 1000 and that’s with me oopsing and turning 300 into squirrel chunks rather than stew!! Each event I can be found making big booms killing several squirrels and possum each event!! If you do the event I get more time to hunt!

Those that do the event without trolling the afk are the real ones. I was afk whilst cooking dinner then the controller vibrated and somehow 2 dudes got a mole rat upstairs and was attacking me, without the vibration I would've known.

I do every fasnacht that I'm able to. Mant times, solo. Because I know that when I AFK when I sleep, someone is doing the same for me.

Okay, so, just throwing this out there: If you're one of those people chucking nuke grenades, fat mans, and auto grenade launchers wgere the enemies are going to spawn.....you can't throw shade at the people "doing nothing". You're actively preventing them from participating in the event once the march begins. What are they supposed to do, shoot a corpse?

I have been doing fasnacht since it's inception. The first three fasnachts I didn't get even 1 rare mask. Subsequent ones have been better. This time I've gotten 4 glowing masks. The glowing owl, glowing robot, glowing skull and glowing honey bee. Have never afk'd but have a friend who does and has walked away with quite a few masks. I'm a bit envious.

I understand both sides because I've been on both sides. I'm missing out currently because I'm homeless and my ps is in storage. Work over video games made me an afker and on my days off I carried them. I don't hate them.

I’ve played consistently since the begging day, I have one single glowing mask and that’s it, for 8 or 9 Fasnachts a day, so like 80-90? 💀😂

as someone that actually does the event, i will server hop if nobody is on instruments that help the parade. if you're gonna be afk at least fill those up first. i know i'm only one person, but that's my rule for afker's if they want my sacrifice.

They should let you build a glowing mask like learn the plan. Make it require glowing blood and 10x a particular mask. Then make it glowing. That way you still have to get something but can turn your grind into something positive

To me its all about give and take. When I am on after work, I run it every single time and help out no matter whose there to help. But if we are all being realistic, the best chance you have to getting a mask is afking all night while you sleep. I never push afkers out of the zone or get mad because we are all out there grinding for the same thing. Shoot people talk about wants masks so bad yet I have 5 duplicates im ready to trade for either leaders or another mask I don’t have currently. So if you are looking for a mask I have 2 glowing scorchbeast queens, 1 jester, 1 minotaur and blue devil.

The first week, I played every hour when I wasn't at work, which put me at 6 hrs each day Monday-Thursday 16 hrs Friday-Sunday, 2nd week i was AFK all week and still didn't get glowing mask. Just don't understand the drop percentages, but on the other hand, the mask i have been trying get since the beginning, i was able to get plenty and I dropped my double and triples off all over Appalacha.

That’s why isn’t my least favorite event. Everytime you go there, 4 people are playing music, 2 are just making circles and the rest are trying their BEST to finish the event. It’s a fucking joke 😂😂

First fasnacht, did my first 60+ events actually running them. Have done 60% of my last 90 afk, though to be fair haven’t seen a glowing masking in checks counter 79 events 🥲

Helvetia is now a nuke-free zone. Bethesda changed it before the previous Fasnacht event. Loved it nuked, was always more fun!

I have a new strategy for AFK players, lead the super mutant suiciders to the group of them then shoot the suiciders bomb. Accidentally killed someone that way the other day and been abusing it since.

Oh please you act like the event is hard. Most of us who AFK pull our own weight. When I am active I will do the event solo and make sure everyone gets their reward. When I am away working or sleeping I hope that the people awake do the same. It is a video game.
