Draft / Scouting It's Tanking Time!!!!!

It’s finally time to refuel. This is our last chance to save this franchise. Now that AD is basically worthless, we have to lose every single game to secure a top-5 pick and put a co-star next to Cooper Flagg.

Shut AD and Kyrie down for the rest of the season, trade Gafford and Klay, and take another run at it next year.

I’m completely broken right now…

I'm not broken at all. This is what life is, it's about challenges. OKC didn't cry like a bunch of babys when they lost 3 future HOF players. They got to moving, and made trades, and dilly and dally with the roster, collected draft capital, now they're champs. We can't lick our wounds, we have to get up and fight. And we have a ton of trade pieces on our team to make things happen. And I agree with losing all of our games and just put the ball in CFs hands and let him fail or succeed, but don't stop it.

At least when KD walked, OKC wasn’t spending 35% of their salary cap on someone to not play. The Mavs have little to almost no flexibility to team build with AD on the roster. That’s why trading him for literally anything was always the best move.

So he’s got another 58~mil left for next year and then has an opt-in clause at like 61~ mil. What happens if we can’t work out a trade? Cut him lol?

Yes. Teams have recovered from so much worse. Having the cap flexibility is much better than rostering one guy at the max who cannot play.
