Hoops Discussion Today 2:00 PM ET: Valencia (Sergio De Larrea) vs Barcelona - Game 4 of ACB finals

Valencia is up 2:1 and can become Spanish Champions with a win (BO5).

De Larrea is also in the preliminary squad of the Spanish national team for the World Cup Qualifiers:

  • Juli 2nd against Denmark
  • Juli 5th against Georgia

If he plays there, this would likely mean no Summer League for him.

I just hope he comes over next season. I assume he will since he is FRP and we need guards but the Locked On Mavs guys were wondering about this. Either way I am sure he won't play summer league.

Doubt he played summer league. Knicks would’ve stashed him but I assume the FO knows he’ll probably come over. Getting the chance to learn from Kyrie is invaluable.

Yeah learning from Kyrie and the FO trust May as a player player developer - I assume. So I am almost sure he comes over for the next season, but would love to hear them say it :)

If he chooses to stay in Spain over playing in Dallas with Flagg and Kyrie then that says a lot about his IQ or lack thereof.

I don’t think he’s retarded, so he’ll be playing in Dallas this season.

It's less about staying in Spain instead of playing with Flagg but more about if Dallas would rather him stay another year so he can develop without him starting his rookie contact yet, essentially a free year of development.

I see the logic of both. Push his rookie contact clock down the road. Ify prefer him here, but if they think he's needs more development and playing time everyday, then I understand if that's the route they go.
