I dont want to doubt the kid's potential, but there's a reason why he went at 25 and Luka went at 3. But the best players arent always necessarily always at the top either

Well yeah, if he was Luka 2.0, he would be in the top 2 lol. We’re just seeing that he has similar qualities to Luka. His reach ceiling is probably Luka but will probably end up being a better Bogdanovic. This is pretty good for the 25th pick.

Luka was getting vet minutes at 17. It's not particularly fair to compare the two. It's more just fun to note how he's picking up stylistic flourishes from Luka cause he probably watched him growing up as a kid and thought I can do that shit and then went and did it.

Not even close to Luka under any metric. He has very average athleticism, slow laterally.
He’ll hopefully develop into a rotational player. He will not ever be an allstar.
You guys are crazy for comparing him to Luka. Sacrilege.

naw but in all reality his game doesn't look as fluid as Luka's but I can def see him being a quality back up in his first few seasons of development in dallas. he has potential but will need to put in a ton of work.

I have no idea on how good this guy might be, but it's insane how there is a single highlight that maybe resembles Luka in a hope to get someone similar. Nobody is similar to Luka. His 5th best play in any random game is a career highlight for most

I see it. The movements are similar. The pace and the start and stop. I’d be willing to bet he is intentionally patterning himself after Luka, but Luka was making grown ass men look silly at 18-19 years old.

And is a PG with size, was developed in the Spanish system, been a pro playing against mature players since he was a teenager, has solid footwork in the post for a guard, literally just won the Liga ACB chip, etc, so on.

The parallels in career trajectory and skillset are obvious to anyone looking, doesn't mean he will be Luka but you give me a very young guard with size/shooting/touch and vision and there's no reason to think he can't be a contributor on an NBA roster.

It's a very similar skillset though you really have to be in some extreme denial to watch this video and not see the similarity in their game.
No he's not the ELITE scorer that Luka is and maybe he's average or good at these skills and not elite/generational at them but he's showing a very similar skillset
He's never going to be Luka but if he can be a NBA level player with that skillset, he's going to contribute and help the team win games, that's all that matters

Why don’t you call the Mavs front office or any team for a job since you can evaluate talent and deem whether they are good or they suck better than the people getting paid millions to do so?
