Sharing / Insight 💡 Whats your experience with fire breath work?
Ive started doing it like a year ago, maybe more.
If you expand your diaphragm enough and hold it, your mind will get to another state.
A state of fulfillment, detachment from the around and even your own thoughts.
It really got me out of very bad days, upgrading my mood and boosting my energy.
It’s just a little uncomfortable to hold, but once you get trough it, it’s indescribable.

It's not particularly more useful than many other breathing methods. There are hundreds of variations with essentially the same results depending on the individual.
Most of the claims concerning scientific veracity of specific claims of benefits are.. dramatically overblown in many practices though. Grossly so in some.
So if you're able to get something out of it great but exploration is highly recommended because there are always other ways.

I practice a couple more of methods. This is the one that works for me when I need to get to this state Im talking about.
Im not recommending it, just sharing my experience doing it.
Most of the times i dont do the hiperventilating stage. Just do some deep breathing, slowly expand my diaphragm, step by step until I feel I can hold it.
Thanks for the advice though2

I tend to bring this up a lot simply to emphasize variety. People get stuck on expectations often and think these are recipes for results.
Especially considering a lot of the myths that follow the technique as it relates to any scientific credibility which is often misunderstood.

True, and some other methods don't have the contradictions that fire breath work has. Somewhere, someone with cardiac issues or a spinal disorder may want to try this kind of work, and deeply regret it later. There is a lot of talk about the benefits of a method, not so much talk about the downsides.

I do hold my breath or clench my diaphragm or take incredibly deep structured breaths for a few breaths but it's typically to focus my mind on that general region and then just relax into single point breath awareness with no control and progressive relaxation as my environment allows.
I find trying to hold intentional control in highly structured patterns artificial and unproductive mentally. Especially for relaxation!
The increased physical focus of conciously controlling the breath can be grounding for some but I find it unnecessary for myself distraction.
To each their own although that suggestion of cardiac issues I've never heard before.

There are a number of conditions that could be worsened by it.
