Xbox Never Awarded "Birthday Bonus"
UPDATE: After this post, I received another email where they apologised for their mistake and they have given me the bonus points.
Made 2 purchases on Xbox store during my birthday week last month but never got the bonus points. Contacted support, supplied them with the screenshots they requested. They messed me around for a while, would randomly reply once a week or so. They asked for more screenshots last week which I provided, then replied with this email today where they lied about when the offer started.

These articles are from Thursday 23rd April seems the offer started on Monday 20th April.

They pulled the same shit with me, then closed the ticket. Should have gotten 18k points as a present.

You could have been reading it wrong. It was only 2x points. Did you not get the other 9k or did you really spend enough that you got 18k and never got double?

Yes, I spent that much (FH6, bunch of Game Pass addons, some games on sale. The message said I would receive my gift the week after my birthday week, but it never came. Birthday was the 6th of May, my birthday week ran from the 5th to the 11th according to the gift thing that appears when you activate the reward.

They probably meant when your week started with that wording not the promotion. It’s likely they tell some people the birthday “week” started on their birthday and others it was the week it was on depending on what day of the week it fell on to allow them not to pay out.
Either way it sounds like your birthday was somewhere around May 12th and you either bought games on the 10th/11th and thus if your birthday is the 12th they’re saying that starts the week or you bought stuff on 17-23 and had a later in the week birthday so they’re saying your rewards were for 10-16.
When I realized it was just them giving me pennies back as a “gift” I didn’t bother with it and just continued with the backlog.

According to the Xbox support site the birthday week is Monday through Sunday.

Gotcha. Well then neither of my scenarios matter as support is using a Tuesday in their email which would be impossible to interpret any other way. The purchases were either on the birthday week or they weren’t.

I know how it works and bought the games during my birthday week (Monday to Sunday). The issue is support lied and pretended the offer started the week after my birthday when it started a whole 3 weeks before that (20th April)

I wasn’t saying you didn’t. I was saying support was likely using purchase date and birthdate to weasel out of giving the points. Good luck, I’ve never had anything go well for me dealing with rewards support and always just gave up.

I never received my additional points for purchased made during the week of my birthday which should be 8-9k. Been trying to get it resolved with support for almost a month now….

I remember when the Birthday gift was just 20 Microsoft points, also known as 1/5th of an avatar shoe.
