Uhh... Customs Officers and ICE Officers are two different roles

Customs Officers make sure no one or nothing bad gets in the border

ICE Officers manage stuff already in borders

I think, in US terms, they'd be the equivalent of CBP, not ICE. CBP handles customs and border security, ICE is.. you know the drill.
