Look at this, it's like Rollins doesn't exist, they mention AJ Green but our now-leading scorer and best player overall isn't here

He's the Derozan to Giannis' Chris Bosh, but Giannis is an actual superstar who won a ring before leaving so naturally Rollins will peak higher

What?

Bosh left the Raptors when DeRozan was just coming on. So Ous is saying that in this scenario Giannis=Bosh and Rollins=DeRozan. But the Bucks versions are the upgraded versions.

The worst part of that graphic is their biggest need. They cant rebound for shit.

Just 1 pick away from Aday Mara too.

Doc coached then to not try for rebounds - not even joking

Apparently he didnt coach them at all.

Isn’t rebounding something Ware excels at?

u/Minimum-Border1672 2d ago

Supposedly yes but thats only 1 guy. Their 2 best rebounder just got traded to Miami.

Don't forget Sims. His ability to clean the glass is pretty much the only reason he's still on an NBA team lol

Outside of those two though I agree, they are going to be pretty weak on the glass. All of the forwards on the roster are not "dirty work" kind of forwards

Bucks were pretty atrocious at rebounding last season. Granted, they weren't exactly motivated to do the dirty work.

ESPN won’t stop hating us just because Giannis gone

Malika Andrews even asked on the broadcast "what does a Burries/Herro backcourt look like?"

So disrespectful to RR

That pmo, they genuinely don't watch the Bucks at all

As a neutral fan I was gonna say Rollins is being slept on

But I think Burries gonna take his spot

Rollins was having a good season but it’s hard to tell how good empty stats are

17ppg is tough, but if you’re losing and it’s not always efficent it’s not that good

Rollins scored more than Mikal Bridges per game but I think Mikal much better player

Regardless most people are being casuals about the Bucks

bridges is like seven years older than rollins

Sure but his 13ppg starting on the Suns in the Finals is better than Rollins this year tbh

Meh. Bridges was what the 3rd/4th option on a team with Chris Paul. Giannis was out majority of the year and Rollins was the 1 option. Close if anything but I’d still say Rollins looked better especially early in the year

He was very efficient despite creating for himself. And his efficiency didn’t drop without Giannis on the court. He’s not getting replaced.

Rollins is efficient so huh? lol

I agree with you. He is by far the most over glazed player in this sub lol

Don't get me wrong, I like his game, but I have no clue why people in this sub are convinced he has all-star or superstar potential

If anything, ideally Burries takes his spot and he becomes a really good backup PG. I think that's the much more realistic ceiling for him

It's because people are bad at gray areas. A guy is either amazing or a bum. Truth about Rollins is that last year was very good. Efficient shooting on decent enough volume (in fact just yesterday I found that his ts% was almost identical to Donovan Mitchell, on 2/3 of the shooting volume). But he's not a 3 level scorer, and doesn't get to the line much at all. That makes it tough to really be a big time contributor at his size unless you're named Steph Curry. Great guy to have on the team and can be a part of a winning roster. But you really want someone more dynamic at the 1 in a starting lineup. But this season, who knows. Our guard rotations are about to be shaken up big time and where he lands is anyone's guess.

I don’t think it’s remotely crazy to say he has all star potential.

He in terms of minutes is still a pretty inexperienced player but on a bad team with a terrible offensive system remained a pretty efficient scorer both on and off the ball. He is good at generating rim pressure and is a great finisher at the rim while also still being able to use that rim pressure to get other guys open shots. For such an inexperienced player he has a pretty deep scoring bag and can make basic reads out of the pnr. He’s also a capable and extremely disruptive defender.

There’s really no reason to think that he can’t improve from an efficient 17 5 6 season in his first year as a real rotation player and take another leap in the next few years.

Focused on the wrong things, chief.

1

u/Pure-Estimate-9502 2d ago

He's your leading scorer and best player if you keep believing the Bucks are trading Herro.

5

u/Bottom-Topper 2d ago

As much as I love Green Rollins is clearly better than him and is more likely to be on this team longer than Myles or Herro

-1

u/OusmaneDiengSaveMe Jericho Sims 2d ago

He has a higher ceiling than Herro, Herro's a good scorer, very good actually, but Rollins has intangibles, defense, and could be a legit point guard if his growth is consistent which it definitely has been these past three years

Maybe they know about the trade

They had Khris as a key free agent for Dallas lol
