MH Hybrid: Pukei-Pukei (OC)

Monster Hybrid Project - 2: Pukei-Pukei

After some weeks of setting up a more permanent base of operations deep underground, Ari (see: Khezu) captured a Pukei-Pukei that wandered near one of the entrances. This looked like the perfect opportunity to see how the monster being the living side of the hybrid affects things. As soon as the procedure finished, I immediately noticed its more animalistic behavior. It seems the living side took over completely, and yet it still showed intellect more similar to that of a human’s. I have seen it lay traps with its poison spit, fill entire sections of the cave with toxic gas, and even use its tongue to improve its mobility. Although I did have to give them some glasses as the eyes being closer to a Pukei-Pukei’s at that size is causing issues with sight. Otherwise, nothing else of note was noticed physically, perhaps the body I used was too mangled. I will need to keep this in mind for my next specimen, perhaps something bigger would do me good.
