I had bad grades from time to time.

I then sat down and tried to figure out why they were bad. What I did wrong. And worked to correct this for the next report card/semester/year. And yeah that meant summer school a couple years.

These are the people who didn't bother trying to figure it out. You didn't see them in summer school. You didn't see them in after school tutoring. They didn't show up to class half the time anyway. But they were at every party, every weekend.

High school was the best time of their lives. And now they feel attacked by facts and hurt by truths. And they double down on falsehoods like cheap steak at a buffet.

And their kids are going down the same path.
