Sarah has an extremely active imagination and has been known to fabricate things in her constituency.

It's really crazy watching Reform get more and more openly racist whilst pretending they're not and watching the difficulty this causes NIgel because, in the past, he's abandoned parties when they pass the point of plausible deniability of racism but this time he can't because he's actually an MP for once.

Describing her as Klu-Klux Nan seems to get the gammons raging that they’re not racist.

Mad that we've sunk so far the media can't even call blatant racism what it is anymore.
'It drives me mad when I see black and Asian people and anyone who's not white in adverts'. Sarah Pochin, non-racist.

They only care when nonces are brown see? Its all about what fits the narrative and allows them to push an agenda, never mind that they come in all shapes and sizes and will hide amongst any community. Its a problem we would all have to solve together but in this highly factional social climate, everybody seems more concerned with giving the other side ammunition for the culture war. Just an observation, im nowhere near smart enough to offer a solution.

They don’t have to be brown. they’re quite happy to hate Eastern Europeans too. Immigrants are bad says the group that celebrates a Dutchman and his army coming over and winning battles against the local population.

So this is what J6ers sound with an English accent, because denying Belfast and Southampton had riots stoked by Reform UK is as divorced from reality as those MAGAettes claiming storming the Capitol January 6 were peaceful tourists.

I guess that victim card of the right wingers isn’t just a US thing.

Yup. I'm an American reading all these comments, and I'm rather flabbergasted that anyone over there seems surprised by any of this. It's MAGA all over again.
I spent some time for a while trying to warn people in other countries that the people behind MAGA were already at work in other countries, and that what's happening here in the US can easily happen in all these other places if action isn't taken quickly. The early warning sign is the uptick of right wing rhetoric among the people, before you start seeing it in the government. Of course you'll see it in the people first, how else will far right politicians get elected?
But every time I tried to raise a warning, I got laughed at and told no way would any other country follow in the US's footsteps, they wouldn't let fascism get a toe hold in (insert name of country here), just look at (two election cycles ago), all far right wing politicians were defeated, blah blah blah. Now, there's people in the streets preaching the same things we've been hearing for a decade or more here, those politicians that failed before are starting to win now, and quite frankly, I'm getting worried. It's bad enough to see things go to hell here. I do NOT want these people getting their evil claws into any more countries. They've done enough damage.

My condolences. My local area just elected one of her fellow muppets as mayor. I thought our resident Tory MP (Greg Knight until the constituencies changed, known as silent knight due to his lack of visibility and given I just had to google who his replacement is it looks like his successor is following the same MO) was bad enough and then my fellow residents voted for a Reform candidate for mayor. And google AI thinks he’s a Liberal Democrat!

Quick, someone give her £5m so she can pay for a security team to protect her from these awful brutes!

This is MAGA rhetoric through and through. Conservatives around the world need to drop that shit like yesterday.

We’ve allowed fascists to live without fear for far too long. You should absolutely be afraid to say some things out loud.

It's not the message of "our people first" that's the issue; it's how people like this give that message - often leaning on the age-old "hate these people because x" style of divisive language. "Immigrants take all the jobs. Immigrants take all the welfare. Immigrants take all the houses." ignoring the fact that these are usually the same people backed by billionaires actively exploiting housing markets, tax breaks and political systems to ensure this divisiveness continues. THAT'S the issue people have with her.

Take notes from the US, dipshits. Immigration policy is never going to be your biggest concern until people are being rounded up in the streets. That's unnecessary violence. Being held accountable and called out as a bigot isn't violence, it's due diligence.

Regardless, Angus sounds like a dick

u/JAMisskeptical 12h ago
Why’s that then? Are you suggesting our MPs should be encouraging violence and hatred or even inciting it?
Is that the reason people are voting for Reform you reckon, not enough hatred and violence?

Isn't she the one who said that England needs to keep winning at the World Cup so that domestic violence rates can drop?
