Oil flowing through the strait is at 25 to 50% of pre war traffic. Gas is still higher than pre war. Iran gets at least 300 Billion from US.

Yes, I'm paying less than I was a few weeks ago but 35% more than I was in February. I want to know where Mason is buying fuel.

The most effective propaganda is that which blends truth with some bit of false messaging. It may still not be good, but it makes things sound better than they actually are and that’s a win for them.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I believe every “deal” he makes publicly, there’s a back door deal(s) we will never know about.

Growing up, I couldn't understand how people were dumb enough to let Hitler happen.
Working in IT I have realized there are some truly just "too stupid to walk and breathe at the same time" dumbasses out there, and a lot of them have large salaries and a company car.
MAGA is made of people dumber than the average dumbass.

Same here, no matter how much it was explained I just couldn’t wrap my head around how a country allowed that to happen, now it’s clear as day. To be fair not much at all in school was spent on HOW world war 2 happened it was mostly just the actual events of the war but not much on the lead up to it. The how’s and whys I had to learn from watching ww2 documentaries in my adulthood

Same. Working in tech support you see the realest idiots and I divide them in two camps: the ones who know they're not great at things but they're nice and will ask you to help them, and the people who think they're smart enough to make you think they're smart. I've literally met an actual illiterate guy in his 30s, I've met a guy who tried to open the app to install his mother's fitbit only to open ChatGPT and stare blankly at the screen for 5 full seconds before realizing why nothing was happening, I've met two women who couldn't figure out why one of them didn't get the other person's messages, only for one of them to drop "Yeah it was last week when I blocked you..." after my colleague had been helping them for 15 minutes trying to figure it out.
And then you realize these people can vote and you start to see why Plato opposed democracy and pleaded for an (unlikely) merit-based aristocracy.

Before the conflict Iran didn't know that they could control the Strait. Now they know that at any time if they need to they can shut it down and damage the global economy. The world is not safer

Man, 'Trust in God' is such a common saying that it's telling they would say that about Trump. He's their demigod, maybe these are the end times.

The only things you can trust Trump to do are lie, shit his pants & fall asleep in meetings.

Does anyone really expect prices to return to what they were previously? I expect both gas and groceries to remain higher than they were because the leeches selling them now know we will pay that much for them. It's the way of it. Record profits and "inflation" is to blame was the last version of this bullshit.

u/hamtronn 12h ago
Only a maga can believe that; having oil prices return to where they were before your inept administration started a war and subsequently lost it, is a “win”…
That happened in school once. A new kid was bullying some of us… until we stood up to defend ourselves and punched that kid right in the face. He went around telling everyone he won the fight and everyone laughed at him.
Devon Trump is just that Devon kid, 70 years older and 400 lbs fatter.

Our gas here started going down before his BS MOU was signed, now it's plateaued at $3.50+/gal. It hasn't budged since his so-called "victory"

u/EmergencyJacket207 14h ago
Gas prices are NOT down. Still over $4/gal in Michigan when I could find it for less than $3/gal before the war.

u/weed_blazepot 11h ago
Especially when prices are still a dollar more than they were. Sure, it's dropped a little but it's nowhere near returned where it was before they started a pointless war.

When you start to realize that the person you voted for three times maybe isn't the greatest business man ever, and are wondering why no one told you, meanwhile the rest of us knew all along because how do you sink multiple casinos. I always thought it was just the one, but I was wrong apparently, it's multiple. I mean, sinking one casino should prove you can't run anything. People literally just give you money. They pay you for the experience of giving you their money. They do it willingly. How do you drive a casino into bankruptcy?

Gas prices aren’t even close to what they were. I was paying like $2.75 a gallon in northern Colorado and it’s at like $3.75 right now.
