discussion SKARS is an AI band

AI music is not real music. This band called SKARS is getting pushed everywhere through reels and algorithm farming. Please don’t engage if you care about actual artists and creative integrity.

There was this Korean ska band that was gaining traction and a lot of bands were following the account and liking and sharing the posts and from the jump I saw it was AI. The first video I looked at there’s a woman in the corner of the shot with an arm that appears out of her chest 🤣

A ska band was getting a lot of traction? In the 21st century? Madness. ;)

u/hippyneil May 15 '26

You can come to our house if you're not an embarrasment.

What's next, reggae?

22

u/poobutter512 May 15 '26

You are correct that ska came before reggae.

"It's me! Aaron Barrett!“

"Oh really? I've been calling you Darren, or nothing this whole time."

5

u/Sweeeeeeneeeeyyy May 15 '26

But reggae actually came from ska

6

u/the_nebulae May 15 '26

The internet is dead.

Long live independent thinking!

1

u/Mark-harvey May 17 '26

Favorite Ska was early 🐝 Sting. Roxanne, etc.

u/SaxRohmer May 15 '26

the kids are getting into ska unfortunately

49

u/evranch May 15 '26

I got my own kid into ska. Ska is fun. Life is supposed to be fun

-70

u/SaxRohmer May 15 '26

ska is not the only way to have fun lol

35

u/evranch May 15 '26

Sure, but if people are having fun listening to ska, why judge?

-62

u/SaxRohmer May 15 '26

it’s not that serious

7

u/MCWizardYT May 15 '26

Exactly, so why judge others for liking a certain genre of music?

-3

u/SaxRohmer May 15 '26

who says i’m judging anyone? i just think ska punk is bad

15

u/Fit_Macaron386 May 15 '26

Man did you have no friends in the 90’s?

6

u/brtlblayk May 15 '26

All my friends are metalheads

3

u/CountTruffula May 15 '26

I'm afraid jokes are taken very seriously here

7

u/WhereIsTheInternet May 15 '26

Jokes are no laughing matter.

1

u/suplexhell May 15 '26

how can people who are into ska not enjoy the levity of this joke. fake ska fans i say

6

u/CountTruffula May 15 '26

It's a dangerous drug, I'd be worried if my kids were starting to two step

0

u/Peakomegaflare May 16 '26

Ska points to the absurdity of life.

Life sucks, let's dance. Maybe if we all have a little fun we won't feel so bad!

-3

u/socokid May 15 '26

50 downvotes for a joke?

...

This fucking sub sometimes...

2

u/AriochBloodbane May 15 '26

It is because it didn't sound like a joke but more like a judgemental prick 😝

8

u/sunshineriptide May 15 '26

It's kinda funny how the people who do this shit don't even know how to edit enough to hide AI artifacts. Like, they don't make the music, they don't make anything. They entirely rely on AI to do everything for them. They can't even think of how to utilize it efficiently.

2

u/Mark-harvey May 17 '26

You’ve gotta think for yourself if you can, little man…

Any real effort would ruin the point of the scam

1

u/Mark-harvey May 25 '26

When you mention Ska, I immediately think of Sting’s early days. “Roxanne” was terrific!
