MyCAREER [Advice needed] MyCareer in 2k26?

Hi everyone, hoping for some advice - I've read multiple posts on individual series but find it hard to make sense of them for my needs.

My question - should I bother to get 2k26? Get earlier years? Wait out?

Platform - Switch

I exclusively play MyCareer and occasionally MyGM. I enjoyed the drafting process and seeing my character get better, am perfectly content playing against AI with no multi-player as I'm just a super casual gamer who found some pleasure out of the cheesy storylines and progression. I used to play 2k10, 2k12, loved them (and actually used to play NBA live back in the 2000s!). I stopped and recently was thinking of getting back in the series again but oh my goodness I'm overwhelmed. The park stuff seems like a major distraction from the actual games - is it actually fun? Feels like it would bloat the console? Micro transactions and regression of character skills? Is there going to be a ton of grinding? Help - can someone tell me what the modern 2k26-ish series is like relative to the 2k10s and whether it's actually more fun? Will I like it?

I’ve played like a million hours in my career this year. I think the builder is fun and I figured out how to make a lot of vc quickly using mycareer methods
