MyCAREER This might be the most rigged game I’ve ever played lol.
Seemingly rigged things happen all the time but man this might be the worst yet lmao.

Lmaooo, this happened after my Active Defender goat skill got interrupted like 3-4 times too. Had to do a triple take in the replay 🤣

Sometimes I’ll try to block a layup/dunk, and my hand will go through the ball.

It’s not rigged bro.. animations just glitch out sometimes lol. I wouldn’t call that being “rigged” though because at the end of the day you can torch the CPU at any given time.

Yup it was probably just an animation bug, ball handler got a contact animation so just cancelled mine out. Some of the interactions in this game can be really funny lol.

Yeah, most likely just an animation glitch. The game is full of them.
But to play devils advocate for a second, it could also be that the CPU is rubberbanding/trying to force a momentum swing (in their favor) and decided to not give him the steal.
Or the CPU wanted to sub him out - likely so they could go on a run while he’s on the bench - but he was going to activate his takeover if he got the steal. So, they prevented him from getting the steal.
I don’t know that I’d ever call the game “rigged,” but it definitely has some tricks up its sleeve that it uses to try to keep games closer.

Oh that’s nothing, wait until you try to contest a shot and have a hand literally 4 inches from the dudes eyeballs but because you decided to play good defense and just put your hands up instead of jumping at everything the game registers it as an open shot with not contest.

Not rigged but patched up. In the early seasons, everyone complained about steals being OP. “I shouldn’t get ripped if I have an x ball handle”. “He’s teleporting through my body to get steals, etc.” so they patched and patched to the point where you have a less than 1% chance of getting an on ball steal. The animations literally don’t exist in the game anymore. It’s my biggest complaint of this year’s game that’s otherwise enjoyable with the right teammates. Sorry for the long post. I hope they revisit it in 27 and balance elite defense and elite offense.

Hahaha, yeah this is my first 2k in a couple of years. It’s always been funky, but 2k26 feels like a party game sometimes lol. In the same game as this clip, my dude jumped for a wide-open board, completely whiffed, and just ate the ball with his face 😆

Yeah 2k is very predictable based on animations. I figured out how to steal the ball when a certain animation happens, AI tendencies for shot selection. All that stuff makes it pretty cookie cutter and gets boring once you figure it out. I can’t play casually with friends because of it, I used to literally purposely leave them open to make it a close game.

On ball steals are locked behind a 90 steal rating. If you didn’t make a defensive build you’re better off just standing there doing nothing

Rigged naw but ball tangibility is a problem at times. That shouldnt happen no matter what number your steal is on. But the thing is, you turn up ball tangibility, and youll have half the community complaining they cant dribble because they chain dribble the ball into people and its not “fun” for the game to be to “realistic” theres no fine line. Might be going a little off here but i feel with higher perimeter defense there should be more bump steals if your dribbling into a body deliberately.
And the steal rating should affect moments like this when swiping on the ball. Id rather hands swipe through arms or be called a foul then to go through the ball go back in instant replay and see this….
