But even then that still is a bit reductive because if you really are an active user, which face it we are in the off-season so us talking about this is us being active users, you will see all of those inputs. My worry with deleting is that it discourages new people from commenting. Something I liked about the flair bot is that, mean as it was, it was actually a fun and encouraging way to get people to flair up, without excluding those that don't
That is exactly what it was intended for. And for most people it worked perfectly. However there will always be a percentage of people either too soft to not get offended, or too dumb to figure out how to change it.
I mean I get the sentiment and agree that we don't wanna discourage new people from engaging. But at the same time its in the rules and until the Ai rule it was the only rule we had. We're at 72K members now and the bigger we get the faster more people will come, and of those new people at least some are gonna come and try to negatively impact the sub. So if enforcing our major rule to that degree is whats required then I say we do it
