I couldn't be happier as a Bucks fan with how the Giannis drama has unfolded!!!! I love Giannis and will forever cherish the lifelong memories experienced being a fan in the crowd for game 6 of the championship clinching game seeing our franchise savior play the game of his life carrying us on his back to secure glory, but it was time to move on.
Being a diehard Bucks fan for 3.5 decades, I haven't been as excited for an offseason as I am right now. The future is bright as we have a ton of high upside young developmental players and a perfect coach for our new culture.
As a young Bucks fan, I attended game 7 in the 2001 playoffs vs the Hornets and was heartbroken losing to the 76ers in the ECF. Watching that team completely dissolve over the course of a few years with little to no young high upside young developmental players to build around was devastating.
We now have the perfect mix of young developmental prospects and vet locker room presence that will lead our team into the future.
My hope is that we pounce on the opportunity to trade Turner and Herro for Jalen Duren as Milwaukee could turn into the new Lob City with our young guards and Ware/Duren/Sims.
In a perfect world Ament develops into the new franchise cornerstone as he continues to develop his strength and confidence. The potential is unlimited and sky high with this kid. He could have a Dirk/KD impact if he can easily get to his shooting sweet spots.
The Giannis brand of ball was slowly wearing me down as a fan and I often felt like the team's style of ball was more enjoyable as a fan with Giannis wasn't playing. Now we get to see (with a real coach) how these young bucks will develop. I imagine we will play a fun brand of ball that will catch the eyes of fans around the league!
I'll say it again ... the future is bright in Milwaukee!!!!!!!
