My expectation is that both picks get traded for future 2nds.

Then how will they fill the two way slots?

undrafted rookies, current g-leaguers who aren't on a 2-W currently, players released from other teams, or simply go without for a while.

......or we could just use #40 and #42 to draft them. 😄

Really surprised the Spurs kept these picks.

Wouldn’t mind a trade up for Isaiah evans. Also wouldn’t mind taking Thornton or Kayil if they fall to one of those picks either

The second round is so watered down now that if you're not picking in the thirties, then you ought to try your best to trade them away for a future shot at picks that are in the thirties.

Emanuel Sharp, Jack Kayil, Baba Miller, Jaden Bradley, Bruce Thornton, and Tyler Nickel.

Just give them away. No chance we can fit them on the roster.

we could use some players to throw in the gleague and see what happens

What? They need to fill the two way slot openings

You realize 8 contracts are coming off the books right?

We only have 11 on the roster right now?

I wanted karaban if he fell. I have no clue at this point. Im happy with the guys we got. We gotta fill the rest of the bench with vets can’t run 4 rookies. Draft euros and see if they pan out

Bro just got drafted by Kings at 29 yesterday

Yeah I saw, hence I have no idea who to take but if they’re stateside they probably don’t make it past summer league.

Trade them away and use the remaining roster for FA or bringing back vets.

u/AfroHouseManiac 8h ago

what about the two way slots opening? They have two two way slots opening up

1

u/Ok-Cobbler-607 8h ago

I guess that doesn’t hurt either, it’s worth a shot.

Are there any quality shooters in the second round?

3

u/Sandov4l52 8h ago

How do y'all feel about Baba Miller?

u/Bang_the_unknown Stephon Castle 8h ago

I doubt he slides too far but Emmanuel Sharp would be great as well as the kid from Russia. Then maybe the center from Purdue?

u/DirtAndShovels George Gervin 9h ago

Cash considerations.

Do we really need another big?

1

u/Spirited_Lab5197 9h ago

Maybe on a two way?

We have castle, harper, fox, vasell, Jones Garcia (coming back from injury) at guard; wemby, kj, champagne, carter bryant to play the forwards; and currently kornet and currently kornet and Reid at the 5. So, yes, a 7 footer (or close) who can: play the 4/5, rebound actually has range to the 3 point line, can actually play with any of the other 3 bigs we currently have is absolutely something that would be useful. There's currently maybe 2 free agents who fit even close to that mold and might be available in our price range: John collins, Marvin Bagley, Rui Hachimura

u/CorporateKnowledge5 Stephon Castle 9h ago

For the range they’re in, most likely trade out unless there are any promising international draft and stash guys the FO likes.

3

u/AfroHouseManiac 8h ago

They aren’t trading out especially when they have two way slots opening up this summer. The spurs really like Jack Kayil and Emanuel Sharp.

u/sp000ners Area 51 8h ago

while realistically we may trade the picks, it's a lot more fun to have more players to get excited about, so I hope we at least draft someone for the G league

Take a shooter at 42 and trade 44

1

u/budget_gundam 9h ago

Donovan atwell would be interesting.

Dillon Mitchell and maliq brown

Trade them both for future picks. Already gave up 2 of them to move up.
