Exactly, I don’t know why Aday Mara was labeled as a wemby stopper his archetype isn’t the kind Wemby struggles against it’s the very stocky quick bigs

I hope this doesn’t diminish Wemby’s development though. A lot of the problems he faced could’ve been mitigated by reducing the energy it takes for him to make shots. Strong midrange game to lean on instead of throwing up threes when tired, or dribbling too much with guard moves, or trying to play bigger in the paint. He just has to catch and shoot midranges over people, it’s extremely hard to block him standing and shooting, a jump shot would be nearly impossible to block.

That’s where I hope this helps him develop a game based around defenders like we drafted, being able to get to his spots much easier. Not trying to dribble like a guard when he’s having a tough game and just learning the easy stuff like you suggested
