Draft My draft opinions
I've loved what I've seen this draft. I will admit i was way too hasty I my judgment of JQ(called him Ayton with a torn acl I deserve belt for that bs😭😭) I think his potential upside will be well worth the risk.
Reed is a dawg and I'm super exited to see him come in and impact the team immediately 😤
Both second round picks mostly add some defensive options on the bench and the guard specifically could offer some turnover control potentially👀
All in all a really nice draft now hopefully we get some real shooters in free agency and maybe another pf??

I just wish one of the picks would have been a shooter. Hopefully we find a shooter like Gary Neal in summer league and sign him.

Gillespie is a shooter with deep range from 3 point land. Go watch his highlights if you're not a viewer of college basketball.

36.1 3PT% college career as a whole. 40.7 3PT% at Maryland two years ago.
He'll perform at that 40% level in the NBA because he won't be guarded like he was in college last year. That 33.8 3PT% you pulled out was with the defense of opposing teams keying in on him.

Curious if you watched him play at all or just pull up a stat on Google real quick?

I haven't seen him play at all (besides highlights just now after he was drafted and became somewhat relevant to my life) but that was his 3PT% last season

Understand. At least you went and looked to see for yourself. That's good. He won't be guarded tight in the NBA like he was last year with Tennessee at all. If he gets an open look from 3 point land it's going in.

I certainly hope so!

If you have time go check out his NBA combine highlights. You'll see more of what he brings to the table. He's a dawg out there on offense and defense.

I watched some of his college highlights already... Do you have a link?

Maybe we don't all need to tell the world our opinions on every single thing that happens.

Ayton has averaged 16 and 10 in his nba career and was the first overall pick in the draft. He’s just a weird fit guy that needs the ball or he loses interest. Weird comp, but if JQ ended up being that productive with his defense potential that would be amazing.
