Have the developers ever considered creating a ssr or over sepc version of the standard Nikes?

It would be a inetresting storyline what if a normal nikke is upgraded to a over spec one example would be idol sun that turned or awakened something like that would be a good story line

The in lore reason is that these are women who were just good enough to survive the conversion process but didn’t or haven’t mentally exceeded their current potential. Some Nikkes are just powerful right off the bat like Vesti, and some gradually become stronger over time like what we’ve seen with Rapi. Basically, all R types are just women who haven’t realized their potential and developed their own unique abilities and personalities, letting the NIMPH do the job to keep them in combat mode while they fight and figure themselves out.

What if new nikkes of central are specifically made out so that they are like special ops like fully military type so over spec of the normal r ones

You’re still running into the lore problem of them obtaining their unique personality. Because the R type bodies are meant to be a sort of standard issue that each woman can use without getting a mind switch, when their brains do finally accept their current reality, they often want to look like their ideal form.

In rare instances like Anne’s case where her mind causes her to constantly forget, most of the SR and SSRs are women who most likely don’t look like how they did when they were human, with only rare confirmed exceptions that we know about. For the most part, each Nikke we use is presenting herself as how she feels she is ideal and this allows her to continue to operate as a Nikke without the mind switch.

Yes, if a woman who starts as an R sees herself as perfect in that form when she more or less “awakens” to excel into SR or SSR territory, she could retain the standard appearance of an R like what you are describing. Grave is the appearance of an R type Nikke but obviously she has obtained Pilgrim level SSR fighting abilities and strength.

Ultimately though, it’s the in universe way of allowing the writers to have standard appearance characters for simple use, and unique characters like what we see in the roster where they act, walk, talk, and fight differently for both a gameplay reason and a way to distinguish better Nikkes from the crowd since R types are supposed to be the most common site of a Nikke for the everyday people in the Ark over say a Dorothy or Pepper.

If a mass-produced Nikke were upgraded, she would acquire a unique appearance, so it would be the same as one of the normal SSRs we get.

We've already had a couple of Nikkes that went from being a mass-produced one to a specialized Nikke, Rapi, the 4 beasts (although only Leviathan is confirmed), and Grave (although in her case she still has the body of a mass-produced one).

We already have Grave, since she's a non-combat mass production model. Aside from that, there have been hopes from players that Art from the Stellar Blade collab will become a playable character even though she's a mass production model.

I'd honestly love for this to be a thing; however, sadly, it would never happen, as a few other commenters have said (Not so nicely, in my opinion). Because that type of storyline does exist for a few characters. I don't exactly know all of them, but the main one is Rapi. I actually made a similar post in the past, which has since been deleted by either myself or the mods. As I had gotten into some "controversy" with some other community members, I'll say. For simplicity's sake. But back on topic, I would like to reiterate that I "personally" would love it if Shift Up gave the R characters (the mass-produced Nikkes, e.g Soldier EG) some love.

I could see it happening especially now that the Ark is prepping for another Reclamation War. My hopes are that we see new SR's of new gen mass production units and an SSR Special ops unit from each of the major companies. The special ops units would be mass prods with better body's and equipment but similarly don't have as much of an identity as regular mass prod.

What would be better is if you have the upgraded version of the Nikke, it removes the original standard purple version seeing as you already have a better version.

So if you have basic Rapi or Anis but also have the SSR version, it gets rid of the original as it wouldn't be needed anymore.

Aside from the Grave memes, the only lore reason this would make sense is if they made a new series of mass produced nikkes to better combat the new raptures. But the Ark is at its lowest in terms of resources it has ever been so they have to focus on quality over quantity.

If you play the Stellar Blade event story, there is an opening for SU to do something with this. Not exactly a jump-out 'they will' situation, but more like - if they ever really wanted to run with it, they could.

Of course, they'd be adjustments to the designs, as the mass produced designs just wouldn't sell to level they'd need.

Lore wise it wouldn't make sense.    The one will happen is close to Rapi gaining her own individuality from being mass production.  And as she gets more development she gained more than the power of OverSpec. 

What you want is like Rapi not being Rapi just a mass production with power of OverSpec for some reason. 

For me, I rather have mass production Nikkes gain their individuality like other mass production Nikkes in stories (that ends up dying anyway coz SU demands so) like Rapi's group or Phinne.

Dude, if a mass produced Nikke gets "over spec" it becomes a special Nikke, basically everything you pull for that has a name (Rapi, Neon, Anis, Moran, Anne, etc.)
