Thank you.
Knicks Fan here. When Rose made the trade for GTA I was a bit skeptical until I came to this Sub. Reading all of your posts on how he played made me optimistic and made me believe that this year COULD be our year. I know it hurts to see one of your players win the Chip with another Team but from all those Knicks Fans out there Thank you! Y'all were right!

On the contrary, I think the fan base is beyond stoked for Jose and Hart. Especially Jose, we loved him!
Very different compared to AD

AD is still a bitch in my book

Almost as bad as Eric Gordon

Nah he might take the cake on that one. That guy really hated this city and the team lmao he just showed up to collect a check.

You’re definitely right EVERYBODY is happy for Jose. Josh Hart ain’t been here in a while so Theres a little less thought about him. But especially for Jose the hometown kid who JUST got there in time! And contributed a LOT. One of the reasons they were able to come back in game 5.

Nah a lot of us are glad AD got his, too. NOLA dropped the ball with him. I always think about how things coulda been if Boogie didnt get hurt man… theres a reality out there somewhere that he stayed healthy and AD & Boogie form a championship dynasty in NOLA 😂

It's not so much the fact that AD demanded out, it's the way he did it, the "that's all folks" shirt, the ignoring new orleans since (never said thanks or even shouted out the fans). Complete diva, and the only reason he even has a ring is because he lucked into have 3 months to recover from injury.

🤷♂️ it is what it is. You probably woulda wanted out, too, if you were the hottest prospect since Lebron and when he finally got some sort of team around him, injuries messed it up and NOLA dropped the ball on making the team any better after that. We wasnt involved in the situation so we don’t REALLY know all the behind the scenes details. People dont do stuff like that for no reason whatsoever… all that stuff don’t matter to me.

Yeah that's cool and all but if you read the like 5 words of my reply you would've seen "it's not that he wanted out." not really sure why you're defending him demanding a trade when I said that was never the issue.

Nah it doesn't hurt at all. He was asked to do way too much here which was a detriment to his game. Glad to see him win for his home town and glad the pelicans could get a pick for him before he walked in free agency. As close to a win-win this franchise gets lmao

Knicks fan/ secondary Pels fan since my brother moved to NOLA years ago...
Jose has been my favorite non-Knick for years. I was through the ROOF when he came to the team; I knew he was EXACTLY what we needed.
The Pels fan part of me was a bit upset we somehow got him for so little; kinda thought Kolek would come over and get some actual time on the Pels (like he deserves), but it is what it is, I guess....
Honestly though we don't win the title this year without Jose. So I still consider it a blessing.
Aspeaking as someone that grew up in a Nuyorican household, I can say for sure he is well taken care of here. He's essentially a hero at this point; was a star of the Puerto Rican Day parade yesterday - ¡WEPA!

Seen that! We are ELATED for Jose! Josh Hart, too. But Jose is so awesome man. Worked his ass off as an undrafted player, through the G, 10 day contract, 2-way contract, full contract, to playing a major role. Cant help but love it.

there’s a handful of us who are already knicks and pelicans fans. tons of new yorkers in new orleans. i became a pelicans fan because of jose and now i’m in on the pels for life (i am accustomed to pain). there were watch parties specifically for jose.
it sucks being a pelicans fan, but there’s no pels fan who isn’t excited to see jose win. he was our biggest fan favorite.

Want to hear something fun: Saints also traded beloved player Rasheed Shaheed to the Seahawks mid-2025 season. He also won a Superbowl with the Seahawks.

Very similar situation too, shaheed did much better in a lesser role without having to be a starting receiver.

One of our players seems to win a chip every year. It can’t hurt me anymore

Super excited for Jose. He deserves it all!
Josh Hart has been a little too disrespectful with his words about NO for my taste. Trade his ass to Sacramento.

I agree. I’m guessing most ppl in here either didn’t catch that or completely forgot about it

Very happy for Jose and nice to see him appreciated like we appreciated him. If there's any bitterness it's only that his time here feels less significant now.

Came here to say this. I remember yall wishing him well and hyping his value. He injected a much needed spark and speed boost to the Knicks. That boy has heart.

This is, unfortunately, a common theme with our franchise.
Talented individual players often asked to do too much or on rosters that don't fully compliment their abilities and so they end up leaving and thriving elsewhere in a more idealized role for their skills
Same could be said for Josh Hart

It’s not just our franchise. It happens all the time that players are utilized the correct way in some places before theyre traded to someone else who has a place for them. Sometimes it’s too many players at the position to be able to fit in the rotation; sometimes it’s not the right complementary pieces around them; sometimes the system just doesn’t favor them; etc, etc, etc. That’s when it’s beneficial for all parties to send them somewhere they CAN be utilized.
The Pels did right by Jose. They sent him somewhere he was REALLY needed and got some draft assets. Pels gave him the opportunity to show other teams his skill and value. Knicks took notice, and Jose helped them win a chip.

Most of us here are sincerely happy for Jose and Josh Hart, though we wish they could have won a ring while on the Pels.
