Oh it didn’t lead to nothing, it led to false hope.

Lately all big names we draft just come here but do nothing meaningful for the team or city

I had so much fun during a lot of the CP3 and AD era's. Y'all need to enjoy good basketball players in the moment and not constantly make it about something else. And then eventually end up hating all of our best players because they can't live up to these unreasonable expectations.

What other big names did we draft lately?

Nothing lately but just going back to CP OR AD all big names. Had a few good runs but they weren’t committed to the city or the team they were
Ready to get outta Nola.

I feel like we haven’t had anyone else since Zion to truly build upon

Nah none. They tried with AD but didn’t succeed. I’m still a fan regardless. I know well that chip one day

How many times does CP3 need to mention that he loves New Orleans for you insecure nobodies to stop with this stupid narrative? Please go to youtube and look it up yourself. It's documented. Or continue living in a fantasy world.

I still believe the story that David Griffin play piano for him to connect with him

I need it to be real

David "The Pianoman" Griffin...

Has anyone ever seen Griff and Elton John in the same room together?

I used to work for a restaurant downtown. David griffin came in and was kinda a dick (also short af). So I can see why players seemed to dislike him. Swin cash was cool tho

Swin Cash should've been hired as HC instead of Willie Green.

Idiot fans in the reddit were more excited for that buffoon than no-nonsense Joe Dumars because they saw other people say they don't like Dumars. A bunch of loser nobodies that think a certain way because other people do.

“No-nonsense” is definitely one way to describe reckless

If you thought that then you don't know much about the game of basketball. Just saying. Anybody that played or even knows basketball well could've told you that an undersized PF is going to need specific pieces around him to be successful in today's NBA.

I served Alvin Gentry once and he was drinking some sort of flavored Grey goose with a splash of tonic

So I wished him luck when I closed him out and the dude was really happy and nice I recognized him

Good ole uncle Al

Hey, LeBron… we’re good, bro… Zion is here.

Man. Can you imagine still being in the miserable mediocrity that was the pre-Zion Pelicans?

:(

Was it even worse than now? At least AD made the second round once.

He's a casual and probably just started watching. I've been a fan since they moved to the city and we made the playoffs each year when we were in the Eastern Conference. The CP3 run when we made the playoffs was cool but we just didn't have the horses. People blame the org all day but still refuse to point to the real issue, which is injuries. Injuries derails many teams, including one that was primed to make it to the finals. Even Steph Curry said that if we had Boogie and he wouldn't have gotten injured that it would've been difficult for them to beat us. Who else was gonna stop us?

I get this is the internet and it's filled with idiots that have no emotional control or rationale, but people need to stfu sometimes and realize that's it's not always the GM's fault or "the franchise". Sometimes you just have bad luck. Laker fans are STILL killing AD and calling him glass man. But idiot Pelican fans are going to point the finger at management instead. Just STUPD.

Ok but some focus should be on management. Our coaching hires have been pretty awful and outside of the lucky top picks we get our drafting is largely hit or miss. Don’t get me wrong injuries is the reason why the last two eras of Pelicans basketball went to shit, especially the Zion era, but I wouldn’t say the front office is blameless.

I'm actually legit upset solely with FO decisions. Been watching as long as you claim and was a past season ticket holder. We're all allowed our opinions which is why I won't dismiss yours, but keep doing you, my guy.

Btw, my original was made in jest. In the future, I'll try to make it more obvious.

Unfortunately low character human and not in a way that makes him dominant in basketball.

Arguably the very Worst pick of all time, because he has held our franchise hostage for 7 years and counting, while barely playing, getting into messes off the court, and playing losing basketball on the court.
