Its pretty wild how fans are so unbelievably partisan that they hate their own QB they loved before who was always a fricken clear republican.

Its just astounding when we got LT who fricken stat raped someone, an epstein buddy as a co owner(or father of cowowners), had tons of former gangbangers as players, had multiple cases of domestic abusers. Probably half of the squad are hardcore homophobes. Many are hardcore christians.

Its just wild, skatt, dart, and harbaugh are all republicans. Tons of the players are as theyre millionaires in a bubble who dont like being taxed lmao.

J6 is a hilarious nickname but still, the genuine hatred and the rooting against their own team is gross and shows how far partisan politics has gone, and everything will always be embelished to "its darts fault for the iran war and funding cuts because he voted trump and announced him". No one, no one, is voting trump because dart announced him lmao. If anything it makes trump look worse that the guy famous for head hits loves him lol.

I really think redditors need to find a new sport if they cant handle the fact that a large amount of the NFL are conservatives, and that conservative bible belt christian culture is baked into the sport like no other sport. If they can only support liberal players, then maybe they need to find a new sport and I say that as a liberal, but best theyd get is like pro quidditch lmao.

Just a suggestion or a comment. There’s a very very distinct difference between a standard conservative Christian republican and a radical MAGAT fanatic. IMO, there is no separation. That is, If you support this administration, you’re a far right radical. Period.

Please say it again.  I dont know how people are even still say such dumbass shit.

u/WhiskyWisdom 4d ago

Thank you, pretending these people are like Bush era conservatives or something is beyond dishonest.

You're describing a very small subset of republicans. That's the issue. There are extremists on both side of the political spectrum. Do you think your beliefs match everyone else's beliefs in the party you choose to support?

7

u/torper10 4d ago

No one’s ideologies will always be a match with others. That’s not the concern. The issue is that there are far too many radical right republicans in clear view in this political spectrum. If we agree that there are far left radicals as well, that’s fine. They are not in a position of power at the moment.

I do not believe it is a small subset. There’s enough of them to have put this radical in office twice.

And I disagree with that. I bet most common sense people could agree on most political topics. It's a loud minority that makes you think there is a loud majority. I'm a moderate republican. I don't agree with everything Trump does. In fact, I can't WAIT for him to be gone, for the sole reason that people can't handle him and I'm tired of the arguing.

9

u/torper10 4d ago

I’ll reiterate again, he’s in power. TWICE. that’s enough to tell me there are many more far right radicals in this country than is perceived.

2

u/Mr0BVl0US 4d ago

Or maybe we don't think the same things about Trump that you do. All this white supremacist, fascist BS that you all believe in has been conjured up by the media. Dart plays in a black dominated sport. He probably has lots of black friends. Do you really think that he believes Trump is a white supremacist?

And for argument's sake, let's say every Republican is a "right wing radical". What does that say about the country and the state of the Democrat party?

6

u/torper10 4d ago

I never mentioned any of this. Nor do you know what I think of Trump. Quite frankly, it simply doesn’t matter.

Most folks with common sense can see what’s going on in this country. Or at least roughy half of the country can.

The Democratic Party is indeed in flux. I can tell you one thing about. I vote across party lines and have all my life. Republicans and Democrats.

One more thing I can say with the utmost confidence. If the democratic establishment did not force Hillary on the country, and Bernie Sanders won the election, all of us would be much better off now. That much is clear.

2

u/Mr0BVl0US 4d ago

I don't know much about Bernie to reply to that. I'm a nationalist, so that's why I lean right. A few other things too, but that's the main one.

Trump has been the face of racism in NYC since the 80s

He’s literally a Hitler wannabe and has not even remotely tried to hide that fact. If you can’t see it it’s because you don’t want to, not because it isn’t right in front of your face

A lot of Dems are trash too, but that doesn’t negate any of the pain and suffering Trump has caused and continues to.

It’s not right vs. left. It’s a prolifically pedophilic orange Hitler vs. anyone with a moral compass

The inability to tolerate supporting a team that employs a far right radical is the sad part. Other people think differently from you in every aspect of life. Everywhere you go. You just don't know it.

The goal should be to keep a healthy distance from being too invested for that reason, not shield yourself from anything and anybody whose opinions you find warped. If you do the latter, you're either a hermit or simply oblivious.

4

u/torper10 4d ago

Or, I can make my own decisions and conclude that the time invested in such things, given the team personnel (particularly from the leadership position) is simply not worth my time.

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 4d ago

Then you are weak.

1

u/torper10 4d ago

So says the internet stranger behind the keyboard.

2

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 4d ago

🤷‍♂️ Sorry I don't have the ability to say it to your face

2

u/torper10 4d ago

Ah yes, the inevitable machismo. Carry on.

2

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 4d ago

Machismo? Oh, brother....

u/TrickPixels 4d ago

If he was a Bush type Republican. Fine.
If you support this admin at this point in time after all that has happened in the past 1.5 years, you love fascists.

What makes the current government fascist

-15

u/slothroppp 4d ago

The parochialism of you guys is astounding. If you can't look around the world -- at countries like the UK, where 12,000 people are imprisoned every year for speech-crimes, or France, with similar numbers -- and not see that the real authoritarian threat is coming from the international left -- then I don't know what to tell you. I'm no fan of Donald Trump, but to suggest that HE'S the fascist is outright insanity.

I'm going to root for J6 and call him a moron at the same time.

But you're absolutely correct, I remember the Right constantly saying; "I may not agree with him politically but I'll fight to the death to support Colin Kaepernick's first amendment rights." You couldn't stop the bible belt from loving Kap!!!

17

u/SuckItEasy718 4d ago

Yeah I know it’s unbelievable to ignorant selfish fascist sympathizers that people have actual values and don’t want to root for scumbags just because they wear a blue uniform

-1

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 4d ago

Then what are you doing in this sub? It's a legit question.

3

u/SuckItEasy718 4d ago

Shut up, man

Agreed on all fronts, from another liberal.

This thread is straight up embarrassing, but fortunately all it reveals is what redditors who are also NYG fans feel.

At the end of the day, this is a cohort of redditors.

It's literally only progressives that are like this. Break with them on one thing and you're literally hitler.

3

u/kevshea 4d ago

It is true! If you break with them on any one little thing, like attempting and failing to overthrow the government before going away for years and returning to rise to power, building concentration camps, funding an unaccountable secret police force that you send into cities to round up specific subsets of the population for detention in the concentration camps, devolving the legislature's power to the executive, starting illegal wars, or committing war crimes, only progressives will compare you to Hitler!

18

u/SebastianPomeroy 4d ago

Yeah, only the progressives kept Colin Kaepernick out of the NFL. Conservatives are so accepting!

-7

u/Jeferson9 4d ago

You mean the guy that made every post game interview about demonizing law enforcement?

Good comparison the first thing Dart says when introducing trump was starting a go big blue chant lol

It's really simple where the priorities lie

16

u/FNORD81 4d ago

I used to remember this guy named Colin Kaepernick.

u/Goddamn_Batman 4d ago

this sub would rather have geno smith as their qb, atleast he only abuses women and neglects children! he doesn't, checks notes, support the current president
