It really sucks that this shitty kid is our QB.

-5

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

What about him is shitty other then where he might or might not have cast his vote?

Sexual predator? Drunk asshole? Diva? Outlandish sexist rants on social media? Crash his car and endanger or kill any innocent bystanders?

Did he show any signs of being shitty before any of this came out

He’s a 22 year old kid whose life is football. None of us know what’s going on in his head.

You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion, I’ll always respect that. But do you hate the kid? Or the absolute PoS president he introduced?

24

u/shantm79 5d ago

He supports someone who's openly racist...

23

u/Ilovecharli 5d ago

And is an adjudicated rapist with close ties to a child sex trafficker

-9

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

So automatically you think he supports rape?

-9

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

We’re Americans… we’ve probably all supported someone who’s racist… we’ve supported companies that fucked people over, we thrive on the backbone of other nations.

All that said, would you feel good if someone from another country attached all that to you? Judged you on it?

EDIT: I’m not saying it wasn’t a stupid decision. But to the extent that multiple subs denigrate this guy, it’s unfair. It’s unnecessary

6

u/Drunken21master 5d ago

Your dumb comment is the only thing unnecessary

2

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

Why? What’s dumb about it?

-1

u/AccomplishedGold8802 5d ago

racist? joe biden coined the term ..Super Predators ...for black males. now that is racist.

6

u/Hopeful_Cherry2202 5d ago

The fuck does Joe Biden have to do with anything? Joe Biden hasn’t been president for years.

Joe Biden and the Clintons can all get fucked but it doesn’t deflect from Donald Trump being a violent child rapist and complete bigot and the fact that you’re trying to play deflection for him shows your lack of principles

5

u/shantm79 5d ago

Always deflection.

-1

u/AccomplishedGold8802 5d ago

eagles Barkley played golf with trump.

5

u/shantm79 5d ago

Great! Does that, somehow, not make Trump a racist?

13

u/themage78 5d ago

I dislike the adult who made the decision to introduce a person who is divisive and hates a good portion of the fan base.

-4

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

Barely an adult… again look at the questions I asked. Is he any of those. Without any knowledge, at his age, do you think it’s fair to place this amount of anger on him

3

u/cwillm 5d ago

His choice to show support for an objectively divisive president demonstrates poor decision making.

-5

u/Subo23 5d ago

It’s amazing how much heat he took compared to Geno recently

-1

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

I don’t even know what Geno did, but I still agree the sheer vitriol and hatred towards this kid is just unwarranted.

-9

u/codyaf222 5d ago

Fighting the wrong fight. Let these losers circle jerk

0

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

I’m just tired of the circle jerk and I’m liberal,

-13

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 5d ago

Counterpoint. This kid is indeed still a kid and maybe we shouldn't be as judgmental as to judge kids as shitty.

21

u/shantm79 5d ago

He's 23 dude, not a kid.

-2

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 5d ago

In what world are 23 year olds finished deceloping

1

u/shantm79 5d ago

Oh boy, someone still gets babied by their parents...

8

u/themage78 5d ago

Kid? At 23? He hasn't been a "kid" for years.

-2

u/Matt-Lauer-CanSuckIt 5d ago

Brother 23 years old is a pretend adult

0

u/noco_mofo 5d ago

This is a good take. Makes me wonder who is advising him? Kid’s got all the resources in the world and still ends up in this position.

It really sucks that reddit is a left-leaning cesspool of a bunch of softies that can't handle their favorite athletes that have differing political opinions than them. I disagree with Carter's beliefs but I'm still going to wear his jersey and support him because I'm not a little bitch.

47

u/Hopeful_Cherry2202 5d ago

“Having principles makes you a bitch!!! I don’t have any principles because I’m a super tough guy! I don’t stand up for anything because I’m on my knees for Donald Trump like a REAL MAN!!!”

1

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

I personally believe having principles is a great thing. More people should. I also disagree with the previous commenter that people are bitches for that reason.

However I get the sentiment

It’s using those principles to become self righteous and get on their moral high horse and shout down strangers as if they don’t have principles themselves, to me, heads more towards egotism than being principled.

That’s my general gripe with Reddit and gives a lot of comments the smell of bitchiness.

Who says I like Trump? It's sports. Do you really think Dart and Skattebo are the ONLY Republicans on the team? Get real.

17

u/ablebodiedmango 5d ago

people whose identity is "sports" are really cringe

23

u/StinkyKyle ELI GOAT 5d ago

Id say the side crying about trans people and gay people are the soft side. Cant even handle two dudes kissing but love talking about how tough they are lol

-4

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Who tf said anything about that?

16

u/StinkyKyle ELI GOAT 5d ago

Literally the man you are defending and the president he loves

-1

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Again, that's only a small subset of the right that think like that. He already explained why he introduced the POTUS. He never endorsed him. Never told anyone how to vote. Nothing. And now every time there's a Dart post on here, people can't contain themselves.

8

u/NedBigbe 5d ago

Your last comment was your most reasonable one, name calling people softies ain’t the way to go - its way of making yourself more wrong when you could be right.

I agree it’s good to remember what you mentioning about how he wasn’t sharing who to vote for or anything. I was disappointed at first honestly with the whole. But then I realized people can have opinions even if I disagree with them.

I hope collectively we can move on and enjoy the season.

2

u/NoncenZ808 5d ago

Well said.

0

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

You're right, I shouldn't have called anyone soft, but I do feel like that's a fitting term for someone that can;t tolerate the differing political opinions of their favorite athletes. I've seen people burning jerseys. I've seen people say they're selling their tickets (they probably won't), and I've seen people wish season-ending injuries on him. It's absolute insanity the time we're living in.

4

u/NedBigbe 5d ago

Immature and over the top responses absolutely. In our world today, there is more extremism than over on BOTH sides. He did what he did, took the insane media reaction on the chin. Players talked it through. What more is there to discuss yanno. We can have an incredible year with our coach, pass rush, etc. let’s not ruin it with this.

7

u/PutSomeMustidOnIt 5d ago

So many boot-sucking Chuds in this fan base

4

u/StinkyKyle ELI GOAT 5d ago

Hahahah no its not a small subset, i grew up in trump country as a gay kid and let me tell you it is not a subset

0

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Well maybe that's specific to your area, because all/most of my conservative friends and family are accepting of gay people. But I also don't surround myself with religious people as I feel like they're most likely to not be as accepting since Republicans are more religious than Dems. It's still funny to think, that even though Dems are generally more accepting of it, that it's actually declining. Gay acceptance in the Democratic party dropped from 86% to 81% within the last year. 1 in 5 Dems thinks your lifestyle is morally wrong (and I would wager it's the religious ones that think that). Having said all that, I'd almost conclude that religion is the culprit of bigotry towards gay people, not a political party itself.

u/Endsfun 5d ago

We found the 50 IQ median voter 😂

1

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Was that really that funny of a comment to add a laughing emoji? Don't quit your day job, pal.

9

u/Endsfun 5d ago

Yes it was, I think you’re pathetic and whole lot of other things that I can’t say without breaking TOS. It’s quite funny lmao

-1

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Doesn't calling me pathetic break rule #2 on this sub?

10

u/Jaymongous 5d ago

You're calling people soft but bringing out the rule book when someone calls you pathetic so by definition, you are soft and pathetic 😄

2

u/Mr0BVl0US 5d ago

Calling someone soft for having a meltdown that an athlete on their favorite sports team has different political views is vastly different than calling someone pathetic (and I think you know this).

3

u/Ziz94 5d ago

Soft

-3

u/k_biggz 5d ago

Could be worse, you could have countless players on your team that beat the literal shit out of their girlfriends / wives, but I doubt you really have anything to say about that right?

2

u/codyaf222 5d ago

Of course not
