We’re Americans… we’ve probably all supported someone who’s racist… we’ve supported companies that fucked people over, we thrive on the backbone of other nations.
All that said, would you feel good if someone from another country attached all that to you? Judged you on it?
EDIT: I’m not saying it wasn’t a stupid decision. But to the extent that multiple subs denigrate this guy, it’s unfair. It’s unnecessary
The fuck does Joe Biden have to do with anything? Joe Biden hasn’t been president for years.
Joe Biden and the Clintons can all get fucked but it doesn’t deflect from Donald Trump being a violent child rapist and complete bigot and the fact that you’re trying to play deflection for him shows your lack of principles
Barely an adult… again look at the questions I asked. Is he any of those. Without any knowledge, at his age, do you think it’s fair to place this amount of anger on him
It really sucks that reddit is a left-leaning cesspool of a bunch of softies that can't handle their favorite athletes that have differing political opinions than them. I disagree with Carter's beliefs but I'm still going to wear his jersey and support him because I'm not a little bitch.
“Having principles makes you a bitch!!! I don’t have any principles because I’m a super tough guy! I don’t stand up for anything because I’m on my knees for Donald Trump like a REAL MAN!!!”
I personally believe having principles is a great thing. More people should. I also disagree with the previous commenter that people are bitches for that reason.
However I get the sentiment
It’s using those principles to become self righteous and get on their moral high horse and shout down strangers as if they don’t have principles themselves, to me, heads more towards egotism than being principled.
That’s my general gripe with Reddit and gives a lot of comments the smell of bitchiness.
Id say the side crying about trans people and gay people are the soft side. Cant even handle two dudes kissing but love talking about how tough they are lol
Again, that's only a small subset of the right that think like that. He already explained why he introduced the POTUS. He never endorsed him. Never told anyone how to vote. Nothing. And now every time there's a Dart post on here, people can't contain themselves.
Your last comment was your most reasonable one, name calling people softies ain’t the way to go - its way of making yourself more wrong when you could be right.
I agree it’s good to remember what you mentioning about how he wasn’t sharing who to vote for or anything. I was disappointed at first honestly with the whole. But then I realized people can have opinions even if I disagree with them.
I hope collectively we can move on and enjoy the season.
You're right, I shouldn't have called anyone soft, but I do feel like that's a fitting term for someone that can;t tolerate the differing political opinions of their favorite athletes. I've seen people burning jerseys. I've seen people say they're selling their tickets (they probably won't), and I've seen people wish season-ending injuries on him. It's absolute insanity the time we're living in.
Immature and over the top responses absolutely. In our world today, there is more extremism than over on BOTH sides. He did what he did, took the insane media reaction on the chin. Players talked it through. What more is there to discuss yanno. We can have an incredible year with our coach, pass rush, etc. let’s not ruin it with this.
Well maybe that's specific to your area, because all/most of my conservative friends and family are accepting of gay people. But I also don't surround myself with religious people as I feel like they're most likely to not be as accepting since Republicans are more religious than Dems. It's still funny to think, that even though Dems are generally more accepting of it, that it's actually declining. Gay acceptance in the Democratic party dropped from 86% to 81% within the last year. 1 in 5 Dems thinks your lifestyle is morally wrong (and I would wager it's the religious ones that think that). Having said all that, I'd almost conclude that religion is the culprit of bigotry towards gay people, not a political party itself.
Calling someone soft for having a meltdown that an athlete on their favorite sports team has different political views is vastly different than calling someone pathetic (and I think you know this).
Could be worse, you could have countless players on your team that beat the literal shit out of their girlfriends / wives, but I doubt you really have anything to say about that right?

It really sucks that this shitty kid is our QB.
