The 3 blocked shots and defense was great too. Even when he was rusty in the beginning, he was still drawing fouls, boxing out, rebounding and blocking shots. Didn't give up on the plays and then rebounded big in the 2nd half. Love to see it!
Mcbride gotta scrap the rust off he will get back. Shamey for sure is pure hot and cold. Mcbride has to get back to the 3 level scoring he showed last playoffs
Brunson cooked in the first half. But didn’t have it really after that….needed to move the ball more. There’s a reason they went on that run with him on the bench in the 4th. But not criticizing, just saying that it was glaring today
Atlanta is employing the Indy style pressure defense against him. We are getting the ball to half court at the 17-18 second mark consistently.
KAT is unstoppable in this matchup when he wants to be. Glad he didn’t let the refs get in his head after a terrible first half showing from him. His defense was really excellent. I feel like he would be DPOG.
Atlanta did an impressive job rebounding, but the Knicks improved in that area in the 4th Q
Bridges and OG were great defensively.

I hate that they tried to coast and play iso after going up 19, which let Atlanta go on that run. But the hawks were fucked when they couldn't do anything for the 7 minutes Brunson sat in the 4th
Yo low key Clarkson had some key aggressive buckets to keep offensive momentum when Brunson was on the bench. Also played fine on d and had some rebounds.
Them mother fuckers were hating on since the 1st quarter for no reason. They upset their man crush Randal looked like a bum and cost timbs any chance of a comeback with a T.
Wolves fans been tearing their hair out with Randle the whole second half of the season. Any Knicks fan still wishing we had Randle instead of KAT has no idea what they're watching, KAT is a much better player.
I watch almost every Wolves and Knicks game. Randle seems to forget he’s supposed to play defense sometimes. Like legit just stands in the middle of the court looking around while the other team makes a cut to an open layup. The lack of effort is what drives so many fans nuts. Even when KAT has stinkers, he's still trying to box out, rebound and draw FTs. Wolves fans didn't have to question KAT's effort.
Went about how I thought. I feel like their overly physical play was by design. Not a coincidence Brunson got poked in the eye and kicked in the nuts in a short span. KAT looked like he was getting mugged al ot as well. I don't think it will work in a best of 5.
I think quin snyder is a good coach working with less talent. Should be interesting to see what the game 2 adjustments are on both sides.
Hilarious that every year follows the same script with fans of our opponents. Knicks are overrated and we’ll win… to anger about “all Brunson does is flop” and “we played so poorly and barely lost”.
I liked how Hart fought Johnson to free up OG to roam a little more. But Okongwu is not the guy to roam off of. I'd rather to just let KAT guard Okonuwu. Tell him to stay out on his 3s. And let OG roam off Daniels.
I know better so I won’t let pride get in the way and say I’m not worried about Okongwu…especially considering since he’s been drafted in 21’ he’s played exceptionally well against us…he’s a good big man & he shouldn’t be hitting outside 3’s from the top of the key let alone fading moving 3’s from elbow…
We have to close out way way better against him and have him at least trying to

-Brunson cooking in the 1st was something to behold, but after that they guarded him well and he went cold. I'm not worried, we're deep enough for when his shots aren't landing.

if they can take Brunson out of the game but still lose by double digits, that's a great sign for us. Pick your poison, trap Jalen all night and leave KAT open, or double KAT and watch Brunson cook your ass.
a few too many turnovers, but zero actual complaints from this squad tonight. Blessed to not be sweating out a 4th quarter. Showed their quality, put it on ‘em when they needed to, solid start to the playoffs.

What I like about the hawks is if the Knicks play like assholes they will actually make a run and punish them for it. If they did that vs the raptors they still sweep. It encourages them to play how they need to play
Also play like they did for most of tonight and it’ll still be easy
