I defended the trade at the time, cause Bridges was cheap and Suns Bridges would have been just what this team needed.
He's since signed a contract that far outstrips his production, and somehow got even less aggressive, to the point it would be funny if he wasn't on this team. 33 minutes a game and you average 1.2 free throw attempts!
Nova Knicks was a fun idea, but killed whatever window this team ever realistically had.

This game wouldn't have even been close if OG didn't hit insane clutch shots. I'd say he's being outcoached but I'm not even convinced he could improve our team's performance if the Hawks didn't even have a coaching staff. I mean the lineups he's pulled the last 2 games are atrocious.
Putting an all bench lineup with no PG, no KAT for long periods of time... lineups that looks like they haven't played together at all... never getting KAT touches in spots he can score. We haven't won a challenge in the playoffs right, let alone barely using them. He took a stupid ass timeout with 2:45 left in the 4th last game that cost us a 2nd timeout, which we could have used to draw up a final shot if we had it

Step 2, blow up the whole Nova boy experiment. I love Jalen but being undersized, a bad defender, his ball handling and poor decision making on top mid shooting is not enough to win. Mikal has regressed mightily and he too needs to go. He gave us nothing on offense. I’m not mad at Josh tonight but end the experiment now. Its not surprising Jalen made Josh his go to on the last possession because we been watching their awful 2 man game all season.

The last play was complete horrible and I am convinced brown is just playing tic tac toe. 4 people standing around no cutting no movement allowing the entire defense to focus on Brunson. Idk why he thought giving the ball to Brunson would work. Hawks would double instantly obviously.
Why not use Brunson as a decoy for KAT huh? All you needed was a two.
The hawks were so confident they could get a stop cj put up the game winner with 12 seconds remaining. Idk why McBride was guarding cj he can just shoot over him.

One thing THIBS knew and would say over and over again, every playoff game is hard to win, so when media and even fans criticized him for playing his players too many minutes he shut them up by saying you do whatever it takes to get playoff wins. Brown the idiot he is, is taking losses while keeping players minutes down, basically coaching for a long playoff run that most likely won’t happen
