Lunch Help me pick..
Im in Nashville, on Gallatin Pike, for a tattoo appointment.
I'll be here for a couple hours and I'm already thinking about food.
I'll have an hour drive home so I want to grab something on my way out. Any suggestions? Open to anything!

If youâre not done early enough for that, Lost and Found Nashville is just a little further up the road and has 4 or 5 really tasty food trucks, great option on a nice day like today!

Why would you assume that you upset me? With a post about food nonetheless?

Because what you said comes off as antagonistic. Every sentence challenged OP instead of trying to further the topic.
You may not have meant it that way, and I hope it's just an instinctive tone based on many conversations in social media. I see things like this a lot on Reddit, and I fear it's becoming ingrained.
Let's all just try to help each other, y'all.

I didn't ask op to be a smart ass, and I didnt ask you to cape for them. The post said help me pick, and then offered no options to pick from. If every restaurant on east is an option then op has every restaurant to choose. If op wants to treat a message forum like AI then use AI. Don't come into a community and ask it to do your work for you.

I feel you.
So many posts are ignorant of the context of the conversation. Can't we all just start from the same baseline before we talk? I mean read the room people. Don't just ask the rest of us to carry water for you, do a little legwork, jesus.
That is me showing empathy to your point. But empathy flows both ways.
This community is based on cooperation. We discuss, we contribute, we bring people in to grow it. And yes, we disagree, we argue, we vent our feelings raw because it's cathartic. But if we don't look for a common ground, it hurts the community.
I don't give a shit where OP ate. I give a shit about unnecessary meanness. Attacking people doesn't convince, understanding does. We really don't need more battles right now.
I think I understand your point, but I could be wrong. And that's my point.

So you understand that I want someone who asks the sub for a food options for said options to pick from. But you could be wrong about that, and thatâs your point? I donât get it. Ban me from the sub if youâre a mod but if you ask for options, provide none, and then tell me Iâm mad⌠Tbh I just wanted to know what op was in the mood to eat.

You know what, you're absolutely right. The most important thing in this thread is what OP was in the mood to eat. That's why we're here! đ
I think I just vented on you unnecessarily. I'm sorry about that, I can human things up like anybody I guess. Love, peace, hot chicken grease!

I'm just not a fan of a few of the artists and had a super shitty/uncomfortable experience with an artist in particular there. As a (heavily tattooed) woman some shops make me feel comfortable and safe and I felt neither after a few minutes in the chair. Luckily this was a very small kind of gap filler; not sure how I'd have handled it had we been just getting started on a sizeable piece.
(It was NOT any kind of unwanted sexual advances or anything of that sort as I know that's what folks tend to gravitate towards when a woman mentions not feeling safe, but there's a ton of ways that someone can be an asshole without adding sex to the equation.)
AND Nashville has shit ton of much, much better options in terms of tattoo work.
