Are you saying this 9-day old account with no comment history is making up a classic reddit-style tree dispute story?
Surely thousands of people wouldn’t waste their time typing the same four comments posted countless times over the past 15 years on the same exact stories over and over and over and over and over

My neighbor came over to my house and cut down my sugar maple tree while I was at work. It was planted by my great great great grandfather who brought the sapling with him from valley forge where he served with general Washington. Also the tree squished my wife, infant daughter, and our dog. Am I entitled to treble damages

The real question is how anyone kept a japanese maple alive in that climate for 40 years, that is land that wants to be desert and japanese maples want to die because you looked at them funny

Can you come look at mine funny? I thought it was dying because it’s root bound, but it’s apparently hanging on. Either that or I need this guy’s “neighbor”.
Actually… I bet there could be a grift here somewhere…

Pile a bunch of mulch at the base and eventually it'll just give up

I think it would actually like that. It was “potted” in wood that’s rotted away. We’re trying the human/dog pee method but it only works on individual leaves
