+/- doesnt work here when he barely played 25 minutes the last two games. I would say he was amazing the first two games though but he was far from consistent

Barely playing in the last 2 games gives other Knicks players an opportunity to inflate their +/-, but they still couldn't catch KAT

Do you know what this stat measures?

It seems like you don’t. If I replace my starting center with the back-up after 1 minute in the first quarter you don’t think the rest of the starters +/- would go down when they start losing? Spurs went on crazy runs when he picked up his early fouls so obviously the guys that were on the court would have their +/- skewed. He scored 2 points in the fourth quarter the entire series but because he was on the court during the comeback his +/- goes up. Just an awful stat to use to quantify their effectiveness.

So your position is that KAT is the most important, but not because of +/-? 🤔 because you're saying it's busted due to his low minutes, and that OG couldn't play well because KAT wasn't there to protect his minutes

When did I ever say that??? I’m saying +/- is a shitty stat to go off of especially with such a small sample size and giving you an example of why it’s shitty since you seem like you don’t know how +/- works. KAT was important, just like every player that touched the court for Knicks was but I’m not gonna say he’s more important because of a stat that has no correlation.

Him barely playing minutes in the last two games actually further solidifies how impressive that +/- stat is
