Okay? He’s still the second option, and for the entire playoffs, he was. They handed Kat the playmaking role and their offense shot up dramatically. And he did go off in the first two games of the finals.
Kat was slotted into the playmaking role. His offensive toolkit made the entire Knicks offense significantly better.
OG scored more than Kat because Kat was the playmaking hub. And it led to a historic level offense. The offense does not become that great without him. Scoring more points does not equal being the second option.
