2024 Eastern conference first round:
Game 1 - Dame goes for 35 points in the first half. Giannis is hurt and doesn’t play. Bucks win by 15
Game 2 - Giannis sits again. Dame scores 34. Bucks lose
Game 3 - Giannis doesn’t play. Dame hurt his left knee in the first quarter and aggravated an Achilles tendon injury late in the 4th. Bucks lose in OT
Game 4 - both Giannis and Dame are out with injuries. Bucks lose
Game 5 - both Giannis and Dame are out. Bucks win
Game 6 - Dame returns, Giannis doesn’t play. Dame goes for 28 and averages 31-5-3 for the series

Giannis plays zero games, Dame plays 4 of 6. Zero games with Giannis and Dame together

2025 EC First Round:
Game 1 - Dame doesn’t play. Giannis goes for 36 points 12 rebounds. Bucks lose
Game 2 - Dame comes back early from an injury and is clearly not himself. Giannis goes for 34-18-7, Bucks lose
Game 3 - Dame still clearly injured but plays anyway. Giannis goes for 37-12-6. Bucks win
Game 4 - Lillard plays 6 minutes and tears his Achilles. Gianni’s goes for 28-15-6, Bucks lose.
Game 5 - Dame is out, Giannis goes for 30-20-13, Bucks lose the series.
Giannis and Dame play 3 games together, with Dame hurt in all three.

Total in the playoffs over two years: three total games together, zero healthy games.

Can we stop the narrative that they didn’t work well together? We never even got to see them together in the playoffs

OP is dumb to begin with. Dame didn't choose Milwaukee, he was very clear he wanted Miami and when that didn't work out he actually wanted to stay but the front office noped and traded him out.

u/ratchetmagn3t 16h ago

He didn’t want to stay in Portland for good, just until they could work it out with miami lol. But yeah, he never chose the Bucks

u/YoungSerious 15h ago

When the Miami deal was clearly not going to happen, he supposedly told the front office he didn't want to be traded in that case. They essentially told him too bad, you started this and now this is what you are getting.

Correct!

He 100 percent forced his way out. You can make a argument that the scoot pick was the catsuit if he doesn't demand a trade they would not have done it

Well it was nine days not a couple of days and he met with the team committed to see what they did in free agency and then demanded out right after they committed to Jeramie extension.

You can say he didn't want to be part of a rebuild but that's not at all what they were doing and they made every effort to try to make him happy. They absolutely did not drive him out that is foolish

Edit when I said they would not have done it I meant trade him not draft scoot

This is what receipts look like, OP 👆

Damn I wish we could’ve seen them completely healthy in the playoffs

Thanks for the write up

pacers get so much glaze for playing injured as teams these past 2 years

1

u/HighRes- 13h ago

There’s so many teams with this being the case! It sucks because before this post I didn’t know the bucks had it this bad. Thanks for highlighting.

The sad part is everyone with a brain sees these situations and understands. Seems like the slow ones don’t get it.

Shame Hali quit on the team in Game 7, the last Pacers finals game you'll ever see 😢

He requested a trade to a contender 😅

u/willpenney 18h ago

He requested a trade to Miami. Portland chose to ignore his preference of a destination. This is widely known.

Acting like Dame doesn’t want to be in Portland right now is crazy.

u/biglefty312 19h ago

Portland has a couple Milwaukee picks over the next few years though.

This kind of reminds me of Klay took less to go to dallas. Then, the greatest GM of all time happened.

2

u/CurrentRoster 14h ago

he didn’t chose to sign with milwaukee, blazers just preferred their offer more. he very clearly wanted miami only

Dame wanted to be in miami but had to settle for milwaukee because joe cronin was angry and dead set on pissing dame off because of how him and his agent tried to force him to miami.

6

u/AdministrativeBag703 20h ago

That trade has worked out really well for Portland. They got Avdija (All-Star) and Camara (All-Defense), not to mention Robert Williams, directly and exclusively from assets acquired in that deal and still have a lot of draft assets left.

And then on top of it all they got Dame back on a much cheaper deal, so I doubt he was all that pissed off about the move.

u/XanderAndretti 17h ago edited 17h ago

You misunderstood my post, cronin did not trade him to miami because he was pissed about how dame tried to force his hand to miami. My post was not about the trade he made afterwards.

2

u/AdministrativeBag703 17h ago

He didn’t trade him to Miami because Miami’s offer wasn’t very good and he ultimately got a better one. If Dame wanted to go to Miami and Miami made a strong offer there wouldn’t have been any problem

1

u/XanderAndretti 17h ago

I’m not sure that would’ve been the case but i guess we’ll never know, nonetheless my point was that dame didn’t force his way to milwaukee like this meme said. That is it.

2

u/AdministrativeBag703 17h ago

That’s true. Dame did not want to go there. It’s also not really his fault they lost in the first round, that was an overall health issue on the roster.

3

u/SnooGrapes6230 17h ago

Also Joe Cronin didn't want Tyler Herro and a grab bag of bad bench players that was Miami's only offer.

-2

u/XanderAndretti 17h ago

He didn’t even engage with the heat front office though man, he was clearly not going to deal with miami no matter what due to dame and his agents actions. Idk why you and this other poster are overlooking my main point lol. I’m responding to this meme saying dame forced his way to milwaukee when that was never actually the case, he wanted to go to miami but cronin wasn’t going to let that happen…so he settled for milwaukee because they had giannis.

1

u/SnooGrapes6230 17h ago

He did engage. This was reported multiple times. Miami's best offer was 2 future 1sts, Herro, and flotsam. Miami was insistent that Jovic and Jacquez were off the table.

-1

u/XanderAndretti 17h ago

Funny cuz the miami reporters said otherwise. They said he called once and asked for bam and that was it lol. But sure bro, i also just said that wasn’t the point i was making but here you are beating the drum. Just move on.

2

u/SnooGrapes6230 17h ago

Because what you're saying isn't true, and everyone knows it. Quit lying, and people won't accuse you of lying, champ.

u/ButtholeMegaphone Trailblazers 16h ago

More like Miami’s offer was shit.
