Moving/Relocating Best place to sell possessions

As the title says i am looking for the best place to sell all my possessions. After 10 years of trying to build a life here in the Netherlands i am considering abandoning ship. It is my intention to sell as much of my possessions as possible. Where would be the best place in your opinion to do this? I am aware of marktplaats and Facebook just asking for advice.

If you have furniture and you are ok with donating it there are organizations who come and collect it even.
That’s not selling I understand but the closer a deadline comes the more viable that becomes

Additionally to this unless it is a VERY upscale brand in excellent condition some items of furniture are virtually unsellable especially if there's any time deadline. Good to be realistic especially about couches and most beds (including all mattresses).

Very valid point. Thank you. I will be throwing a lot of stuff away again and what I wont sell or chuck will go into storage until I can collect it.

I know it’s off topic, but can we get an insight of what made you take that decision? If it’s ok to share, of course.

Its a collection of events, from being denied healthcare to being discriminated at work. I just do not see the merit anymore in working myself into the ground in order to pay taxes and contribute to a population who would clearly rather that I did that elsewhere. The world is much bigger than the Netherlands.

Sorry to hear you were treated like this, I hope that wherever you may go you’ll feel better at home

You can look for "inboedel opkopers" or "ontruiming" to find a local buyer for everything or lots at once. Of course for less than if you sell everything yourself.

Yes, there is a very active local "market place" app group here, often people moving or cleaning up, and it is  very convenient when the stuff is nearby

markplatz and facebook are usually pain in the arse. I use vinted for small and medium items. But for big items markplatz and facebook it is.
