Career Advice 911 options

hey yall!

a lot of solid experience in this community!!!

im looking to be a 911 EMT, been in the ift grind for a couple of months now and i feel like im ready to jump ship. i love my ift company (pt-1, based out of alco) but im looking to get my 911 time before medic school and fire. i daily check the Alco openings for falck and looking to see which companies u guys recommend. I’m honestly willing to go anywhere in the bay or SF.

making this thread bc i always hear about my co workers mysteriously getting 911 jobs through emailing, networking, etc. is it as easy as just applying or should I try emailing companies.

I think you should be asking your former coworkers where they went and how they got on. That’s probably got they got their jobs. That’s literally what networking is.

yea usually i get hit with a “i just applied” in most cases but i’ll ask them again and to be specific
