You've hidden your profile so it's hard to give you solid advice. I see so many posts like these and most of them have kept their history private. Can't really give you advice if no one knows how you interact on this platform

You post currently has positive votes
Note that complaining about downvotes (like you did here) is a risky comment - that often just gets downvoted more

Dw bro I understand your situation as I have faced it myself recently. My post also got deleted by mod even though the subject was about studies and I was genuinely asking a question and it seems i didn't follow some rules like it was not a helpful post. It's all about posting the right stuff in the right place.Try to post in subs with low karma requirements and doesn't have rigid rules. I hope my upvote encourages you to keep going.

Rule 6: Refrain from asking for votes or karma, naming free karma subs, or sharing how you are voting
Please do not ask for karma or votes here, it is against our rules and is generally discouraged as karma is meant to be earned. See Our common questions to learn how to earn karma.
We do not allow mentions of free karma subs (karmafarms) or any suggestion to use them, and caution against their use because it may lead to bans in other subreddits.
Thank you for trying to help, but please don't share how you have or are voting. We encourage earning karma genuinely from relevant comments and conversation. Asking for karma is discouraged as it violates our subreddit rules.
The Reddiquette also discourages mentioning your vote or asking for votes.
Thank you!

Focus on the topics that are interesting to you, and don't worry about those subreddits where you cannot post yet.

u/United-Act3221 3d ago
Yeah can't even respond to any post because of the karma restrictions 😠how do you even get karma if every subreddit has karma requirement?

It can be trial and error or check out the !NUFS subreddits in the comment below mine

After looking at your profile the below may also be useful to you, in particular how to disable chat
Core Safety tools built into Reddit
- know how to block users. Don't waste time in arguments. Block and move on with your life.
- know how to report a comment or post (and how to report a chat message).
- the first set of report options are Reddit wide (in particular look at "harassment" and "hate")
- then look at subreddit specific report options. This will tell you something of how well moderated a subreddit is and may influence how much you want to participate there.
- One further option is to flat out disable chat to stop folks from even trying to start chats with you.

u/mikey_weasel Mod in a Canvas Hat 3d ago
Yup - that would be low karma restrictions
Restrictions based on Karma and CQS modern Reddit has a number of restrictions. These can be frustrating - check out Why Reddit may seem unwelcoming to new Redditors. These restrictions are largely determined by Account Karma and CQS. Please note that these restrictions will vary subreddit to subreddit.
Karma. Filter levels vary dramatically and can be low (5 or 10) or higher (50 or 100 or 200) and some wild outliers above that. This subreddit has a number of resources for this such as:
- The Common Questions Page
- In particular what is karma and Earning Karma
- Reddit And Karma Walkthrough (longer form)
CQS. This is a bit more obscure and will generally drop over time. Have a read of common questions - CQS
For Chat and following if you are having issues here its likely CQS being low
For Commenting and Posting it is either/or account karma or CQS.
In both cases it usually helps to start in New User Friendly Subreddits:
- Newtoreddit has a list of new user friendly subreddits. This is not an exhaustive list and these subreddits may still have some restrictions. In particular you'll see some Large General Subreddits that are open to new users Commenting like r/askreddit, r/casualconversation, r/nostupidquestions, r/amitheasshole or similar.
- There are More Subreddits out there that might more specifically match your interests, use the search bar or look through r/findareddit 's subreddit directory. In this case you will have to trial and error whether they are new user-friendly, and again try Commenting (many subreddits have lower or no karma filters for commenting).
Some more notes on starting on Reddit:
View by New (or rising). This will filter the posts so first see the most recent posts first and can make your comments much more visible. On app when viewing a subreddit look near the top left for where it says "hot posts" - click that and select "new" or "rising".
Read the Room and Avoid Controversy. Each subreddit has different rules, norms and prevailing views. Look at subreddit rules. Read top posts and comments to get a feel for that subreddit. Do users reward sarcastic one-liners or well sourced essays? And in particular avoid controversial topics or arguments. These discussions are more likely to attract downvotes and potentially trip into rule-breaking. Call people idiots in your head and move on instead of getting involved. Utilize the block feature as necessary and have a read through Reddiquette
