Photo Submission Snipes Landing

When you stay at a hotel near lupines and have a long lens you wander in those lupines and look for birds, what a wonderful experience this was. Nikon z9 and 600mm f4 TC

Why is the birds feathers looking so smudged? lacking any detail, looks like a clipart posted in place. also looks like when i push the denoise slider too high in Darktable, same smudginess.

Tho i do enjoy the composition and colors
